This analogy was used in an alternate representational approach in flownet concepts. The report employed the easily demonstrable electrical counterpart to represent the groundwater flow problem in a laboratory setting. This rep the flownet principles better by using the electrical analogy for selected groundwater flow situations. However, it was also demonstrated that the electrical analogy concept can be applied for a wide range of groundwater flow situations with a few simple modifications. Our aim is to design a simplest model for determining flow net concept precisely.

The large quantity of wastewater generated at all stages of sugar production, poorly treated wastewater with high levels of pollutants caused by poor design, operation or maintenance of treatment systems creates major environmental problems, when such waste water is discharged to surface water or on land. The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) has prescribed based on the directions of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) that the effluent generation in a sugar factory has to be limited to 1000 L/tons of cane crushed. Also as per CREP norms, certain provisions have been made for sugar factory effluent treatment as well. Considering the above stated implications an attempt has been to evaluate the performance of Effluent treatment plant (ETP) of Shri Ambalika Sugar Pvt. Ltd. in a district of Ahmednangar. This factory has provided and managed well equipped effluent treatment plant for handling 1000...

Soil is the most widely used material in a highway system, either in its natural form or in a processed form. Also, all pavement structures eventually rest on soil foundation. The construction cost can be considerably decreased by selecting local materials including local soils for the construction of the lower layers of the pavement such as the sub-base course. Soil stabilization has become the major issue in construction engineering and the researches regarding the effectiveness of using industrial wastes as a stabilizer are rapidly increasing. This paper briefly describes the suitability of the local fly ash to be used in the local construction industry in a way to minimize the amount of waste to be disposed to the environment causing environmental pollution. Several civil engineering laboratory tests are conducted to study the geotechnical properties of fly ash and strength gain when mixed with local clay sample. A different proportion of fly ash and soil sample cured for 7 days results in a strength gain. A better understanding of the properties of fly ash is gained from the study and the tests indicate an improved strength and better properties of soft soil sample when stabilized. After study of fly ash, the bagasse ash has replaced the fly ash for proper proportion. The bagasse ash is the waste which can be created from sugarcane. Maharashtra is one of the largest producers in India. So, the availability of bagasse ash is easy. Fly-ash, an inevitable waste of coal-fired thermal power plant has great potential in the area of plant growth due to its efficacy in modification of soil health and thereby the plant performance.

Even the weir used for it, had an indepen0dent use as energy dissipater. A series of laboratory experiments were performed in order to investigate the effects of the lower weir crest and step height of a broad-crested weir of rectangular compound cross section on the values of discharge coefficient, the approach velocity and the modular limit. The dependence of the three values on model parameters was investigated and the quantities were compared with those of the broad crested weir models with rectangular cross section. It is an iterative process that begins with selection of performance objective, followed by the development of a preliminary design assessment as to whether or not the design meets the performance objective and finally redesign and reassessment if required until the desired performance level is achieved. In present study two R.C. buildings, one rectangular and one square in plan are analyzed using pushover analysis and redesigning by changing the reinforcement in columns. The pushover analysis is carried out using Etabs 2015. A Six storied buildings are considered to be located in Zone IV with Hard soil strata

With life-cycle cost (LCC) calculations, it is possible to get better overview of the total cost. Life Cycle Cost (LCC) is "the total cost of owning, operatin maintaining, and disposing of a building or a building system" over a period of time. History shows that decisions relating to residential buildings are generally based on estimates of the initial construction cost, with no consideration of operation an maintenance cost occurring during life of building. Continuously rising operation and maintenance cost increases overall life cycle cost. It can be minimized by investing most efficient solution at initial stage. The present study includes analysis of al existing bungalow. Applying LCC analysis on new bunglow by Net present value approach. By extrapolating all cost of new bungalow, analysis is done for Do nothing and energy efficient approach. Comparative analysis was done for suggesting cost effective solution.

This is most dangerous problem in front of humanity. The most hazardous type of wastes are HDPE and PTE and the plastic below 50micron is also causing a serious problem. These plastic mixed in the soil, it directly effects on fertility of the soil. Nowadays, the large amount of plastic is deposited into sea. This plastic wastes gives hazardous effect on the aquatic life and quality of seawater also polluted by this plastic. So, we try to finding efficient way to solve this problem of plastic waste. So, we added this plastic wastes into the bricks and create the bricks by using plastic wastes. It is most economical solution present in the construction industry and it is also economical and environment friendly solution of the plastic wastes.

This information provides a basis for determining the water supply available from the well, for selecting the type of the pump and for estimating the cost of pumping. Hydrological studies at different depth horizons for the Nannajodha basin in Solapur, district, Maharashtra, India has been represented by various contourmaps at different electrode spacing. We are correlated with the local Geology of the area to detect the various pre-monsoon and post-monsoon readings of the groundwater.
