Scientific research has been substantial on its efforts to map technology's benefits from which humans may profit on a myriad of activities. This is particularly evident in recent fields of study, such as gamification applications to marketing, education or business. However, it could be argued that in-depth analysis of potential nefarious impacts of technology use is currently lacking. In this paper, we perform a systematic review of contributions from top scientific publications over the last fifteen years in search of their concerns over the implementation and usage of technology, to gather proof that this is a promising study field, which deserves further study. Due to the limited literature and empirical evidence on the topic, this study contributes to better understand of nefarious impacts and limitations of technology.

This is a theme directly related to Social Work that seeks to ensure social well-being, intervening in multiple dimensions of human, social and sustainable development. This presentation aims to analyse the perception of social work master students about social ecology and the importance of social and ecological sustainability on social work training. We followed a collaborative learning methodology with a group of Erasmus Social Work master's students from various Universities (Portugal, Finland, Slovakia, Spain and Lithuania). Based on a questionnaire given to each student before the group discussion, we assessed the participants' knowledge on this topic. From here we proceeded to a debate activity that allowed systematizing contributions to Social Work, as well as discussing the importance of promoting more sustainable societies and practices. The results showed that many students had limited knowledge about ecological and social sustainability, recognizing that this was a relevant topic for Social Work training. Among the aspects that the group highlighted as essential in the training were: the importance of promoting a more inclusive planet, combating social inequalities and to ensure environment as fundamental right; and the importance of promoting sustainable actions that preserve the environment and respond to climate changes. Additionally, the participants considered that social and ecological sustainability should be part of the Social Work training programme, considering present and future social intervention.

Thinking about these challenges and opportunities and how social work as a profession is responding to current social issues, we developed a training model in a public portuguese university with an integrated curriculum for the three cycles (bachelor, Master and PhD). In order to assess the relevance and adequacy of this model and how the labour market responds to the professionals needs. At the end of 2015 we created a series of indicators (a total of 42 indicators) and submitted them, initially, to a group of experts (through the Delphi's method), and after we applied it to the students of the three cycles (through an online survey), obtaining a total of 93 responses (response rate of 71%). The results were significantly positive and showed the recognition of competences gained and also th e adequacy of the training by the integration of this curricula, which leads us to expand this research to a national/international level to other universities to validate these indicators and ensure their adjustment to the social workers needs into the challenges of the labor market posed to these professionals.
