Several studied have shown that Neural Network has a great performance in data classification. The main objective of this paper is to provide efficient and reliable techniques for recognition of handwritten numerals by comparing various existing classification models. This paper compares the performance of five machine learning classifier models namely Neural Network, K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), Random Forest, Decision Tree and Bagging with gradient boost. Results indicate that K-NN classifier outperform Neural Network with significant improved computational efficiency without sacrificing performance. They both outperformed the other classifiers: Random Forest, Decision Tree and Bagging with gradient boost. We also discovered that as the training data is increasing the accuracy of the classifier is also improved. The result of this paper shows that K-NN has equally high a...

Two phases were used in this study to measure the company's productivity. In phase one, productivity was measured using the outputs data based on the electricity delivered (excluding) the technical losses in order to obtain the accurate productivity of the company. In phase two; an attempt was made to find the actual output, by using the electricity delivered including the technical losses to obtain the productivity that represents the true performance. The results showed that there was a decline in the productivity of the company in all years of the study period and that the company's overall performance during the study period was generally poor.

Several construction projects were suffering from various problems, including poor management, declining fertility, and thus causing projects delay, and cost overruns. The main goals of this study, therefore, is to identify and rank the factors affecting labor productivity in the construction industry in Libya. To realize this objective, a statistically demonstrative sample of contractors and embassies were demanded to contribute to a structured questionnaire survey. The questionnaire contained 30 productivity factors that were secret under the following three primary categories: (1) Management, (2) Technological, (3) and Human/labor. The Management Group was ranked the first, followed by the Technological and Human/labors group. This study demonstrates that the following five factors, listed in descending order, are the most significant in their effects on construction labor productivity: (1) Lack of labor supervision; (2) Experience and skill of labor; (3) Construction technology; (4) Coordination among construction industry disciplines; (5) Errors in design drawings. The results obtained to fill a gap in knowledge of factors affecting labor productivity in Libya to develop a more in-depth perspective of the factors influencing the efficiency of operatives. This study also has provided some recommendations to be implemented by construction managers at the early stage of the construction project to achieve more effective management of construction labor forces.

Electromyography (EMG) analysis techniques are widely used in ergonomics and biomechanical studies for analyzing the demand of a job, comparing different tasks, and ergonomics design. Electromyography (EMG) was recorded to measure the electrical activity of different muscles including trapezius, medial deltoid, biceps brachii, brachioradialis and torso located in the neck, shoulder, upper arm, forearm and lower back respectively. Four subjects ranging from 23 and 28 years of age were analyzed. Surface electromyography of different muscles was measured and numerous s...

The purpose of this study was to improve productivity in the pipe manufacturing industry by applying manufacturing principles that employ simulation modeling. An approach to improve productivity which focuses on the process of workstations and workforces was proposed . The proposed approach’s target was to boost the productivity of providing clients’ prerequisites and leaving a few products in the store for other clients. A simulation model based on the data collected from the steel pipe company, Bansal Ispat Tubes Private Limited’s in India, was used to improve its operational performance. The research methodology included a pro-simulation model, suitable distribution and investigating data. The simulation model was created by simulating each work station and assessing all relevant processes depending on the collected data. The real j...
