The blue swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus (Linnaeus, 1758)) is an economically and ecologically ... more The blue swimming crab (Portunus pelagicus (Linnaeus, 1758)) is an economically and ecologically important species in Vietnam, and a potential subject for aquaculture as well. More than 400 individual crabs were collected along the Vietnamese coastline and examined for ectosymbiotic crustaceans. Two molecular markers (28S rRNA and COI mtDNA) were applied for species delineation. Seven species were reported and described, of which six are cirripede barnacles (Thecostraca, Thoracia); and one parasitic copepod Choniosphaera indica Gnanamuthu, 1954 (Copepoda, Podoplea). Four species (Chelonibia testudinaria (Linnaeus, 1758), Semibalanus sp., Octolasmis neptuni (MacDonald, 1869), and Dianajonesia tridens (Aurivillius, 1894)) were the first records for both host and location. The symbiotic crustaceans occupy specific niches on the crab body, and vary in their infestation status. Molecular taxonomy of symbiotic crustaceans was classified and confirmed based on sequence similarity and phylogenetic analyses.

Coarse-grained simulations, in which multiple atoms are represented by a single interaction site, have predicted a novel mechanism of misfolding exists involving off-pathway, non-covalent lasso entanglements, which are distinct from protein knots and slip knots. These misfolded states can be long-lived kinetic traps, and in some cases are structurally similar to the native state according to those simulations. Here, we examine whether such misfolded states occur in long-time-scale, physics-based all-atom simulations of protein folding. We find they do indeed form, estimate they can persist for weeks, and some have characteristics similar to the native state. Digestion patterns from Limited Proteolysis Mass Spectrometry are consistent with the presence of changes in entanglement in these proteins. Antioxidants have been considered a potential component that can enhance functions of food since ... more Antioxidants have been considered a potential component that can enhance functions of food since these agents have pharmacological activities for multiple chronic disorders such as cancer, diabetes cardiovascular diseases, and agerelated diseases. However, due to their low solubility, unstable during processing or storage, and chemical degradation, antioxidants have a limitation on bioavailability when applied in food products. Nanocarriers may assist in delivery of these components without changing good therapeutic properties by their unique physicochemical characteristic, structural characteristics and biological compatibility. Recently, lipid-based and polysaccharides-based nanocarriers have been explored as promising delivery systems of antioxidants by oral route. Positive results obtained across these nano-deliveries could give us new spreading methods for implication of antioxidants in therapeutic functions of foods.

Evaluation of fatty acids, phenolics and bioactivities of spent coffee grounds prepared from Vietnamese coffee

Disposal of SCG is able to lead to a loss of bioactive constituents and have a negative impact upon the environment. This study aimed to explore fatty acids, bioactive phenolics, antioxidant and anti-aging potentials of SCG samples obtained from coffee shops in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam. The oil content of the SCG samples ranged from 6.3 to 10.5%, and linoleic (43%), palmitic (33.4%) and oleic (11%) acids were identified as major constituents of the oil. Chlorogenic acid was the most abundant phenolic acid examined (832.9-7657.7 μg/g of dry weight), followed by ferulic acid (40.5-1041.7 μg/ g). Through anti-collagenase and anti-elastase assays, SCG showed a promising anti-aging activity, with IC 50 values comparable with those of epigallocatechin gallate. The correlation analysis revealed gallic acid positively correlated with the free radical scavenging potential evaluated by DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) assay and the inhibitory effect on elastase. The results demonstrated that utilization of SCG prepared from Vietnamese coffee could open new avenues for food and cosmeceutical industry.

Thermodynamically studied on the effect of pressure and temperature on reduction was carried out together with verification experiment. Results show that at appropriate temperature and vacuum pressure, Thanhhoa dolomite can be reduced using ferrosilicon as the reductant. The higher level of vacuum, the lower temperature required for reduction. Thermodynamic calculation pointed out that at a vacuum pressure of 600 Pa, the reduction temperature could be as low as 1140 °C. Experiment results indicated that at although reduction could be done at 1150 °C, the process efficiency was low, generally below 20%. Process efficiency enhanced as temperature increase and reaches the highest value of 85,8% at 1250 °C (25 wt.% ferrosilicon). Especially in Vietnam, the prevention and detection of forest fires are mainly based on the patrolling forest rangers; the warning board is not automatically controlled. In this article, we will present the design of an automatic controller, which was applied fuzzy logic to control the forest fire - level forecast warning signage. The controller relies on regional meteorological information to control the signage on the spot, and to directly inform the manager about the forest fire forecasting situation via text message. The experienced results of some forest protection units in Thai Nguyen prove that the application of fuzzy logic has met the requirements of the forest protection sector in improving the forest fire forecasting system.

Setting realistic stabilities for the single-and multi-domain proteins. Choosing values that resu... more Setting realistic stabilities for the single-and multi-domain proteins. Choosing values that result in realistic stabilities for coarse-grain protein models is critical to ensuring they behave reasonably in simulations. The most rigorous method of determining for a given protein model is to run multiple replica exchange simulations to find the value of that produces a model for which the ∆ between the folded and unfolded states matches an experimentally determined value. However, we could not feasible perform this computationally expensive procedure for each of our 122 proteins; further, most proteins do not have an experimentally determined ∆. We therefore selected for our single-and multi-domain proteins based on a previously published training set of 6 α, 6 β, and 7 α/β proteins for which this rigorous procedure was performed 1. The average values of from this training set for each of the three structural classes are reported in Table S5 and additional related information is reported in Table S6 (these tables are based on data in Tables S3, S4, and S5 of Leininger et al. 2019 1). In Tables S5 and S6, 〈 〉 class is the mean found for training set proteins of a particular structural class. These values of 〈 〉 class were used as the basis for setting the intra-and inter-domain values for our data set. Values of for single-domain proteins were first set to the value of 〈 〉 class corresponding to each domain's structural class. A domain is considered to be stable if its fraction of native contacts, , is greater than the average kin from the training set of 〈 kin 〉 = 0.691 for at least 98% of the simulation frames in each of ten 1-μs Langevin Dynamics trajectories (see original paper for a description of 〈 kin 〉) 1. All trajectories were run at 310 K with a 0.015 ps integration time step and the SHAKE algorithm 2 applied to all bonds. Coordinate information was saved every 5000 integration time steps (75 ps). Inspection of the ∆ class = * 〈 〉 class + values in Table S6 indicates that 〈 〉 class results in under-stabilized protein models in some cases. To account for this variation, simulations were also run with increased by 〈∆∆ /∆ exp 〉 − * 100% = 22%, where ∆∆ = ∆ exp − ∆ class for a given protein and 〈 〉 − indicates that the average is calculated only for negative values of ∆∆ (i.e., over values of ∆∆ corresponding to proteins under-stabilized by 〈 〉 class). This increase of 22% is thus the average relative increase in 〈 〉 class necessary to stabilize a protein not stable at 〈 〉 class. Finally, a third set of simulations were run with 〈 〉 class increased by the largest destabilization relative to the average ∆ exp , calculated as ∆∆ min /〈∆ exp 〉*100% = 72% where ∆∆ min is the most-negative value of ∆∆ within the training set. These values are summarized in Table S5. The lowest value of at which a particular domain was stable was selected in all cases to prevent over-stabilization, which tends to increase topological frustration and give unrealistic results. Seven of the 72 single-domain proteins were found to be unstable at each of the three values tested. For these proteins a fourth round of simulations were run with = 2.480, the overall largest value of suggested by the training set (corresponding to the +72% value for β domains). None of the seven proteins were found to be stable at = 2.480, suggesting that they are inherently structurally unstable. Therefore, to avoid over-stabilization, these domains were assigned the median from the set of stable domains of 1.170. The final values of selected for each single-domain protein are listed in Table S2. Values of for multi-domain proteins were determined by an analogous procedure. Three initial sets of ten 1-μs simulations were run with = 〈 〉 class , 〈 〉 class + 22%, or 〈 〉 class + 72% applied to all domains within a protein. Interface contacts were assigned 〈 〉 overall , 〈 〉 overall + 22%, or 〈 〉 overall + 72% (see Table S5), where 〈 〉 overall indicates an average over all training set values. So, for example, the +72% simulation for PDB ID: 1CLI was run with = 1.916, 1.916, and 2.124 for domain 1, domain 2, and the domain 1/domain 2 interface, respectively.

Most notably, they are significantly more stable when exposed to moisture when compared to the typical 3D perovskite methylammonium lead iodide (MAPI); direct evidence for the chemical source of this stability remains elusive, however. Here, we present a detailed study of the superior moisture stability of a quasi-2D Ruddlesden-Popper perovskite, n-butylammonium methylammonium lead iodide (nBA-MAPI), compared to that of MAPI and examine a simple, yet efficient, methodology to improve the stability of MAPI devices through the application of a thin layer of nBA-MAPI to the surface. By employing a variety of analytical techniques (photoluminescence, time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry, cyclic voltammetry, X-ray diffraction) we determine that the improved stability of Ruddlesden-Popper perovskites is a consequence of a unique degradation pathway which produces a passivating surface layer, composed of increasingly stable phases of the 2D perovskite, via disproportionation. S... more The changing of properties of HMnS by alloy elements addition and heat treatment was presented. Studying about the hardness of HMnS were increased when the Mn contents increased. On the other hand, the Cr content has effective on the hardness and microstructure of this steel also, but with the Cr content was increased from 2% to 2,5%, the hardness of high Manganese steel was not much changed. With the research about HMnS, it was added the Cr and applied the advanced heat treatment process, the microstructure of this steel was formed the chrome carbide particles with grain fine which dispersed in the matrix with the formation of these dispersed carbide particles will contribute to increasing the alloy's abrasion resistance. With the difference in heat treatment processes, the microstructure and hardness were also changed. When the sample was heat-treated according to the model heat treating; the particle size of the sample is also significantly reduced. This explains why the hardness value of the sample increases significantly. Also, under the impact load, on the surface layer of this steel, the microstructure does not appear the martensite structure form but only see the twinning on the surface. These are new findings on the mechanism transformation of high manganese austenite steel when working under the impact of the impact force. The mechanism of transformation is quite different from the previous view of phase transformation under the impact force of high manganese austenitic steel.

The classification of the grippers, which are installed on robotic agricultural tools for manipulation of fruits, weeds and other objects, is compiled. There are 22 types of grippers depending on 6 selected criteria: drive type, the presence of the drive in the grip, the number of fingers, the type of gripper movement, the type of mechanism, the type of sensors. In this classification, we mainly consider the characteristics of the gripper, which is installed at the end of the manipulator and is responsible for physical contact with the object. Therefore, the main attention is paid to problems requiring direct capture of objects by the agrobots. The issue of joint interaction of a group of heterogeneous terrestrial and airborne robots in the performance of the target agrarian task in an autonomous mission will also be investigated.

The oxidative stability of sorbents depended on the TEPA 12 loading, oxidation duration, temperature, and O2 concentration. The marked loss of the CO2 adsorption 13 capacity of the sorbents in O2-containing environments was mainly caused by changes in the functional 14 groups of TEPA and the sorbent composition, as supported by thermogravimetric, elemental, infrared 15 spectroscopic, and gas chromatography analyses. The results suggested that the hydroxyl groups of silica 16 help to protect TEPA from oxidation. Much recent work has applied existing fault detectors against attacks in cyber-physical control s... more Much recent work has applied existing fault detectors against attacks in cyber-physical control systems. The results demonstrate effectiveness in detecting simplistic attacks that cause fault-like disruptions. However, they do not address motivated and knowledgeable attackers who craft attacks using knowledge of the system including its method of detecting attacks. In this paper, we analyze the conditions for an attacker to bypass a dissipativity-theoretic fault detector adopted in the prior work. We show that the attacker can use a quadratic programming solver to efficiently compute false data injection attacks to bypass the detector. We show further that, by applying an OR gate to fuse binary detection results from a number of the detectors, with carefully chosen parameters, we can achieve an integrated detector bank that cannot be bypassed by an attacker, if the attacker can tamper with either the sensor or control data of the system. For an n-dimensional linear time-invariant system, the number of needed fault detectors is O(n!). This number can be dramatically reduced to O(n) under a realistic assumption that the system has converged before the attack starts. Simulations for voltage control based on an IEEE 39-bus power system model validate our analysis.

Especially in Vietnam, the prevention and detection of forest fires are mainly based on the patrolling forest rangers; the warning board is not automatically controlled. In this article, we will present the design of an automatic controller, which was applied fuzzy logic to control the forest fire - level forecast warning signage. The controller relies on regional meteorological information to control the signage on the spot, and to directly inform the manager about the forest fire forecasting situation via text message. The experienced results of some forest protection units in Thai Nguyen prove that the application of fuzzy logic has met the requirements of the forest protection sector in improving the forest fire forecasting system.

Setting realistic stabilities for the single-and multi-domain proteins. Choosing values that resu... more Setting realistic stabilities for the single-and multi-domain proteins. Choosing values that result in realistic stabilities for coarse-grain protein models is critical to ensuring they behave reasonably in simulations. The most rigorous method of determining for a given protein model is to run multiple replica exchange simulations to find the value of that produces a model for which the ∆ between the folded and unfolded states matches an experimentally determined value. However, we could not feasible perform this computationally expensive procedure for each of our 122 proteins; further, most proteins do not have an experimentally determined ∆. We therefore selected for our single-and multi-domain proteins based on a previously published training set of 6 α, 6 β, and 7 α/β proteins for which this rigorous procedure was performed 1. The average values of from this training set for each of the three structural classes are reported in Table S5 and additional related information is reported in Table S6 (these tables are based on data in Tables S3, S4, and S5 of Leininger et al. 2019 1). In Tables S5 and S6, 〈 〉 class is the mean found for training set proteins of a particular structural class. These values of 〈 〉 class were used as the basis for setting the intra-and inter-domain values for our data set. Values of for single-domain proteins were first set to the value of 〈 〉 class corresponding to each domain's structural class. A domain is considered to be stable if its fraction of native contacts, , is greater than the average kin from the training set of 〈 kin 〉 = 0.691 for at least 98% of the simulation frames in each of ten 1-μs Langevin Dynamics trajectories (see original paper for a description of 〈 kin 〉) 1. All trajectories were run at 310 K with a 0.015 ps integration time step and the SHAKE algorithm 2 applied to all bonds. Coordinate information was saved every 5000 integration time steps (75 ps). Inspection of the ∆ class = * 〈 〉 class + values in Table S6 indicates that 〈 〉 class results in under-stabilized protein models in some cases. To account for this variation, simulations were also run with increased by 〈∆∆ /∆ exp 〉 − * 100% = 22%, where ∆∆ = ∆ exp − ∆ class for a given protein and 〈 〉 − indicates that the average is calculated only for negative values of ∆∆ (i.e., over values of ∆∆ corresponding to proteins under-stabilized by 〈 〉 class). This increase of 22% is thus the average relative increase in 〈 〉 class necessary to stabilize a protein not stable at 〈 〉 class. Finally, a third set of simulations were run with 〈 〉 class increased by the largest destabilization relative to the average ∆ exp , calculated as ∆∆ min /〈∆ exp 〉*100% = 72% where ∆∆ min is the most-negative value of ∆∆ within the training set. These values are summarized in Table S5. The lowest value of at which a particular domain was stable was selected in all cases to prevent over-stabilization, which tends to increase topological frustration and give unrealistic results. Seven of the 72 single-domain proteins were found to be unstable at each of the three values tested. For these proteins a fourth round of simulations were run with = 2.480, the overall largest value of suggested by the training set (corresponding to the +72% value for β domains). None of the seven proteins were found to be stable at = 2.480, suggesting that they are inherently structurally unstable. Therefore, to avoid over-stabilization, these domains were assigned the median from the set of stable domains of 1.170. The final values of selected for each single-domain protein are listed in Table S2. Values of for multi-domain proteins were determined by an analogous procedure. Three initial sets of ten 1-μs simulations were run with = 〈 〉 class , 〈 〉 class + 22%, or 〈 〉 class + 72% applied to all domains within a protein. Interface contacts were assigned 〈 〉 overall , 〈 〉 overall + 22%, or 〈 〉 overall + 72% (see Table S5), where 〈 〉 overall indicates an average over all training set values. So, for example, the +72% simulation for PDB ID: 1CLI was run with = 1.916, 1.916, and 2.124 for domain 1, domain 2, and the domain 1/domain 2 interface, respectively.

Most notably, they are significantly more stable when exposed to moisture when compared to the typical 3D perovskite methylammonium lead iodide (MAPI); direct evidence for the chemical source of this stability remains elusive, however. Here, we present a detailed study of the superior moisture stability of a quasi-2D Ruddlesden-Popper perovskite, n-butylammonium methylammonium lead iodide (nBA-MAPI), compared to that of MAPI and examine a simple, yet efficient, methodology to improve the stability of MAPI devices through the application of a thin layer of nBA-MAPI to the surface. By employing a variety of analytical techniques (photoluminescence, time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry, cyclic voltammetry, X-ray diffraction) we determine that the improved stability of Ruddlesden-Popper perovskites is a consequence of a unique degradation pathway which produces a passivating surface layer, composed of increasingly stable phases of the 2D perovskite, via disproportionation. S... more The changing of properties of HMnS by alloy elements addition and heat treatment was presented. Studying about the hardness of HMnS were increased when the Mn contents increased. On the other hand, the Cr content has effective on the hardness and microstructure of this steel also, but with the Cr content was increased from 2% to 2,5%, the hardness of high Manganese steel was not much changed. With the research about HMnS, it was added the Cr and applied the advanced heat treatment process, the microstructure of this steel was formed the chrome carbide particles with grain fine which dispersed in the matrix with the formation of these dispersed carbide particles will contribute to increasing the alloy's abrasion resistance. With the difference in heat treatment processes, the microstructure and hardness were also changed. When the sample was heat-treated according to the model heat treating; the particle size of the sample is also significantly reduced. This explains why the hardness value of the sample increases significantly. Also, under the impact load, on the surface layer of this steel, the microstructure does not appear the martensite structure form but only see the twinning on the surface. These are new findings on the mechanism transformation of high manganese austenite steel when working under the impact of the impact force. The mechanism of transformation is quite different from the previous view of phase transformation under the impact force of high manganese austenitic steel.

The classification of the grippers, which are installed on robotic agricultural tools for manipulation of fruits, weeds and other objects, is compiled. There are 22 types of grippers depending on 6 selected criteria: drive type, the presence of the drive in the grip, the number of fingers, the type of gripper movement, the type of mechanism, the type of sensors. In this classification, we mainly consider the characteristics of the gripper, which is installed at the end of the manipulator and is responsible for physical contact with the object. Therefore, the main attention is paid to problems requiring direct capture of objects by the agrobots. The issue of joint interaction of a group of heterogeneous terrestrial and airborne robots in the performance of the target agrarian task in an autonomous mission will also be investigated.

The oxidative stability of sorbents depended on the TEPA 12 loading, oxidation duration, temperature, and O2 concentration. The marked loss of the CO2 adsorption 13 capacity of the sorbents in O2-containing environments was mainly caused by changes in the functional 14 groups of TEPA and the sorbent composition, as supported by thermogravimetric, elemental, infrared 15 spectroscopic, and gas chromatography analyses. The results suggested that the hydroxyl groups of silica 16 help to protect TEPA from oxidation. On applying fault detectors against false data injection attacks in cyber-physical control systems

Much recent work has applied existing fault detectors against attacks in cyber-physical control s... more Much recent work has applied existing fault detectors against attacks in cyber-physical control systems. The results demonstrate effectiveness in detecting simplistic attacks that cause fault-like disruptions. However, they do not address motivated and knowledgeable attackers who craft attacks using knowledge of the system including its method of detecting attacks. In this paper, we analyze the conditions for an attacker to bypass a dissipativity-theoretic fault detector adopted in the prior work. We show that the attacker can use a quadratic programming solver to efficiently compute false data injection attacks to bypass the detector. We show further that, by applying an OR gate to fuse binary detection results from a number of the detectors, with carefully chosen parameters, we can achieve an integrated detector bank that cannot be bypassed by an attacker, if the attacker can tamper with either the sensor or control data of the system. For an n-dimensional linear time-invariant system, the number of needed fault detectors is O(n!). This number can be dramatically reduced to O(n) under a realistic assumption that the system has converged before the attack starts. Simulations for voltage control based on an IEEE 39-bus power system model validate our analysis.
