Out of the economical point of view is it important to map the consumption, so that where it is possible, it can be able to make changes to reduce the energy consumption. By PM 5 that has been mapped, the production of steam is the largest energy consumer, over 50 percent. The drying section as an entirety is the big consumer. Indications are pointing to that it is the hot air fans that have effect on the flow of steam. The loss of energy consumption that is made by the loss in steam flow is outtakes by the decrease that's made by the hot air fans and the electrical heating batteries. The price of electricity for running the steam boiler and for running the rest of the factory is different, and the steam is also used to warm up the factory. Here should a deeper study follow to investigate the possibility to make the dry section more effective and to compare which is the most economical, to use most steam or to use most electricity. There is an obvious indication for that it is cheaper to produce paper on PM 7 than on PM 5, even in this case it would be appropriate with a deeper study.
