As a corollary of our result for degree two Siegel cusp forms, we get sign changes of its diagonal Fourier coefficients. In the course of our proofs, we prove the non-vanishing of certain type of Fourier-Jacobi coefficients of a Siegel cusp form and all theta components of certain Jacobi cusp forms of arbitrary degree over congruence subgroups, which are also of independent interest.

We designed and conducted a human subjects study involving 19 participants. Each participant was asked to enter their trust level in a Likert scale in real-time during experiments on a driving simulator. We also collected physiological data (e.g., heart rate, pupil size) of participants as complementary indicators of trust. We used analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Signal Temporal Logic (STL) to analyze the experimental data. Our results show the influence of different factors (e.g., automation alarms, weather conditions) on trust, and the individual variability in human reaction time and trust change.

Although a few Digital Twin studies have been conducted in the transportation domain very recently, there is no systematic research with a holistic framework connecting various mobility entities together. In this study, a Mobility Digital Twin (MDT) framework is developed, which is defined as an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based data-driven cloud-edgedevice framework for mobility services. This MDT consists of three building blocks in the physical space (namely Human, Vehicle, and Traffic), and their associated Digital Twins in the digital space. An example cloud-edge architecture is built with AmazonWeb Services (AWS) to accommodate the proposed MDT framework and to fulfill its digital functionalities of storage, modeling, learning, simulation, and prediction. The effectiveness of the MDT framewo...

Conceptually, a Digital Twin is a digital replica of a physical entity in the real world, and this technology is leveraged in this study to design a cooperative driving system at non-signalized intersections, allowing connected vehicles to cooperate with each other to cross intersections without any full stops. Within the proposed Digital Twin framework, we developed an enhanced first-in-firstout (FIFO) slot reservation algorithm to schedule the sequence of crossing vehicles, a consensus motion control algorithm to calculate vehicles' referenced longitudinal motion, and a modelbased motion estimation algorithm to tackle communication delay and packet loss. Additionally, an augmented reality (AR) humanmachine-interface (HMI) is designed to provide the guidance to drivers to cooperate with other connected vehicles. Agent-based modeling and simulation of the proposed system is conducted in Unity game engine based on a real-world map in San Francisco, and the human-in-the-loop (HITL) simulation results prove the benefits of the proposed algorithms with 20% reduction in travel time and 23.7% reduction in energy consumption, respectively, when compared with traditional signalized intersections.

For the perfect operational rotating system, bearing assumes a key responsibility. Once a calamity happens, it will cause huge budgetary episodes and even security threats. Proper fault diagnosis of the rolling element bearings will put a check on all such issues. In the past, several fault diagnosis strategies have been implemented and found effective due to the involvement of signal decomposition. A proper choice of decomposed modes may extract vital information and evidence on fault type, location, and condition. Inspired by the same fact, the work proposes statistical criteria for mode selection in the vibrational mode decomposition method utilizing entropy and covariance parameters. The criteria have been validated on a test signal sample gathered over bearing with inner race failure. The illustration proves the promising nature of the method which makes the method superior till date.

With the development of connected and automated vehicle (CAV) technology, cooperative ramp merging has become one of the popular solutions to this problem. In a mixed traffic situation, CAVs will not only interact with each other, but also handle complicated situations with human-driven vehicles involved. In this paper, a game theory-based ramp merging strategy has been developed for the optimal merging coordination of CAVs in the mixed traffic, which determines dynamic merging sequence and corresponding longitudinal/lateral control. This strategy improves the safety and efficiency of the merging process by ensuring a safe inter-vehicle distance among the involved vehicles and harmonizing the speed of CAVs in the traffic stream. To verify the proposed strategy, mixed traffic simulations under different penetration rates and different congestion levels have been ca...

However, this toxic plant is reported to possess anti-inflammatory activity, anti-arthritic effect, antioxidant activity, antimicrobial activity, anti- carcinogenic activity, hypoglycemic activity, cardioprotective, hepatoprotective, neuroprotective, and hypolipidemic activity etc. All these activities are attributed to its various constituents like phenolic compounds, flavonoids, carbohydrates, alkaloids, steroids, etc. In Ayurveda, a series of pharmaceutical procedures which converts a poisonous drug into a safe and therapeutically effective medicine is termed as Shodhana. Shodhana improves the yield, decreases the phenolic and flavonoid content; and converts toxic urushiol into nontoxic anacardol derivative thereby reducing toxicity of nuts of Semecarpus anacardium. There are reports of alteration in pharmacology and phytochemistry of nuts of Semecarpus anacardium due to Shodhana.

With the rapid change in the |information technology, the frequency of human-computer interactions increases, which regards trust as an important factor between users and websites (Johnson, Bardhi & Dunn, 2008). Ajzen (1988) divided trust in technology into trusting beliefs and trusting intentions. This increasing frequency of human-computer interaction has paved the way for the banking industry to provide services to the banking customers online but also banks has to ensure about the expected quality of services can be delivered or not. According to Internet World Stats, India has occupied the third largest country in number of internet users around the world following China and USA on first and second positions despite having a less internet penetration rate as low as 8.5 percent. In the previous literature, it has been observed that retaining customers in online service is very difficult. Therefore, this research study aims at understanding the services quality factors and their effect on the satisfaction of customers in case of e-banking.

The Performance of rolling element bearings has a significant influence on reliability and safety... more The Performance of rolling element bearings has a significant influence on reliability and safety in the various engineering fields. While heading toward the condition evaluation of rolling element bearings, the higher dimensionality of feature space became a crucial concern. Thus, to have a check on the hurdles, this paper proposes a novel approach of bearing condition assessment utilizing Local mean decomposition (LMD) and spectral clustering (SC). Spectral Clustering (SC) is an influential tool, which heals the curse of dimensionality and facilitates the model by imparting a systematized structure. SC focuses more on connectivity rather than geometrical vicinity; moreover, the provision of a similarity matrix makes SC more reliable and increases its performance. To enrich the efficiency of SC, a novel decision criterion, PI (Parting Index) aiming the optimal number of clusters based on a new similarity indicator and disorder indicator coined as Synergic Association Index (SAI) and Separation Index (SI) respectively, has been proposed. The work aims to achieve better performance degradation assessment (PDA) by the application of the new SC-PI approach with the following steps; the first step is the decomposition of vibration signal into product functions (PFs) utilizing LMD; the second step involves the extraction of proper fault features; third, the extracted features are classified with the SC-PI method; finally the feature or attribute vectors are endowed to trained model and confidence value (CV) is calculated. The proposed method is validated on two datasets of different fault types. The results so obtained indicates that the SC-PI method easily differentiates the various stages when compared to different assessment techniques i.e. time-domain features, self-organizing map (SOM), k-medoids and Gaussian mixture model (GMM).

However, driver-based speed tracking errors often emerge, due to the perception and reaction delay, as well as imperfect vehicle control, degrading the effectiveness of ASA system. In this study, we propose a learningbased approach to modeling driver behavior, aiming to predict and compensate for the speed tracking errors in real time. Subject drivers are first classified into different types according to their driving behaviors using the k-nearest neighbors (k-NN) algorithm. A nonlinear autoregressive (NAR) neural network is then adopted to predict the speed tracking errors generated by each driver. A specific traffic scenario has been created in a Unity game enginebased driving simulator platform, where ASA system provides advisory driving speed to the driver via a head-up display (HUD). A human-in-the-loop simulation study is conducted by 17 volunteer drivers, revealing a 53% reduction in the speed error variance and a 3% reduction in the energy consumption with the compensation of the speed tracking errors. The results are further validated by a field implementation with a real passenger vehicle.

It has been a challenging task while dealing with the characteristic information conservation of the sampled data. Feature vectors with higher dimensions provide an accurate description of the condition, while lower dimension vectors are easy to be classified. These conditions make the dimensionality of feature space a big challenge in the performance evaluation of critical machine parts like bearings. This paper presents a judicious and wise application of a linear approach, locality sensitive discriminant analysis along with the rational use of local mean decomposition in performance degradation assessment. The combination effectively solves the problems of insufficient training samples and large dimensionality of fault features, which imparts excessive noise and causes loss of competent hidden characteristics. In such cases, local structures of fe...
