This study explores the time delay and cost overlap of building construction projects in East God... more This study explores the time delay and cost overlap of building construction projects in East Godavari using quantitative analysis. The qualitative analysis involves the identification of factors causing time delay and cost overlap of building construction projects by seeking the opinion of experts in the field of construction. A questionnaire survey was designed by considering the identified factors causing time delay and cost overrun of construction projects and the surveys were conducted from owners, contractors, and consultants. the factor analysis method was used to analyze the data in SPSS software. From the ranking, the top most factors were identified as factors causing time delay and cost overrun of construction projects. The degree of correlation between the owners, contractors, and consultants on ranking arrived using frequency index were computed using correlation analysis. The quantitative analysis was carried out to develop empirical models and to predict the quantum of time delay and cost overrun of building construction projects."

The importance of sustainability has become one of the major priorities in the field of construct... more The importance of sustainability has become one of the major priorities in the field of construction with 40% of total energy worldwide while account for 25% of carbon dioxide emissions are due to buildings. Thus, the implementation of sustainability along with use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools are employed in this research to perform energy analysis on buildings using various sustainable materials. The results showed that the incorporation of sustainable materials with low thermal conductivity could reduce the indoor air temperature by 8 ºC and the overall electricity consumption by 30% and carbon emission from 15% to 48% while lowering construction costs.

Both can be influenced by the practices of project management. There is no universal theoretical basis in the management of this work to define "communication, coordination, and cooperation" (3C). The role of various 3C concepts is explored in this paper. The business environment and human behaviour are identified as two major parts based on the analysis of selected articles in well-known construction management journals across the various domains. 3C and its connection to the performance of the construction project. The objective of this article is therefore to explain the definition of 3C and their relationship between them. The logic of communication and coordination exchange is an important link. As a result, collaboration becomes more difficult and requires more time and effort.

Construction of the structure is not adequate requires consciousness towards it. The application of the concept of sustainable construction using Building Information Modeling can be a healthier solution on earth. This paper aims to study the residential building to enhance sustainability by inducing sustainable energy concept using Auto desk Revit which includes parameters such as, carbon emission, fuel consumption, monthly heating and cooling load to meet the energy requirement for today without disturbing the environment and reusing it again. The 2D plan of the building is created using AutoCAD software. The sketch up software is used for building 3D modelling and it has been rendered to Autodesk Revit. As Revit is simple in application which includes the features for architecture, mechanical, electrical and plumbing in construction. Building information modelling (BIM) is used to model design with precision, adequate performance. The application of the BIM helps in conceptualization and analysis with substantial results which will provide benefit on Global environment, economic benefits and also human health. Using BIM the performance of the conventional building and energy building is compared.

The water is magnetized in static treatment process with two different strengths of magnetswith 0.986 and 2 Tesla. The water exposed to magnetic fieldis used in concrete on replacing ordinary water it results to increasethe workability and mechanical properties of the concrete. The compressive, split tensile and flexural strength tests wascarried using 24hour magnetized water in production of concrete. Concrete made with magnetized water possess higher strength than concrete made with ordinary water. The extent of the study is to improve the nature of the water according to the standards and reduce the water-cement ratio thereby reduce the utilization of cement content and porosity of the concrete.

Increasing demand and depletion of natural resources has brought a need for the replacement of co... more Increasing demand and depletion of natural resources has brought a need for the replacement of conventional concrete. This study is conducted by completely replacing coarse aggregate with coconut shell (CS) an agricultural waste. Though it achieves the target strength the decrease in quality of coconut shell concrete (CSC) is enhanced by utilizing a pozzolanic material Ground Granulated Blast-furnace Slag (GGBS) and its optimum percentage of replacement with cement is found as 10% by conducting compressive strength for varying percentage of replacement say 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. For the optimum mix, the durability study and microstructural investigation, say SEM, XRD, EDX, FTIR, and IMM was examined. The result revealed that incorporating GGBS increases the strength of concrete to around 15%. The microstructural study has clearly exhibits that the hydration process has been improved the better formation of Calcium Silicate Hydrate (C-S-H) and Calcium Aluminium Silicate Hydrate (C-AS -H) when GGBS is incorporated.

Thus, this article speaks about the effective utilization of energy in the construction industry. Green building advancements include an integrated approach for maintainable objectives and to improve productivity, such green building's expense may be higher but the payback period can be reduced very much through reduced operation and energy costs. The approach for increasing the efficiency of the building is made through daylight analysis, the feasibility of fresh air ventilation system instead of aid conditioned space, rainwater harvesting system, analysis for suitability of low flow water fixture in buildings were done with the aid of tools such as eQUEST, ECOTECH and Daylight analysis tools. The data which is required for this analysis is obtained through the Building Management System. Also, the conventional buildings and the sustainable building (green building model) designed through this analysis were compared, as a result, it is obvious that the green building model done through this analysis possess characteristics such as reduced energy usage and increased efficiency. This will ultimately increase the value of the buildings.
