Drug delivery systems utilizing nanoparticles for targeted administration and controlled release ... more Drug delivery systems utilizing nanoparticles for targeted administration and controlled release are referred to as nanoparticle drug delivery systems. The word "nanoparticles" (NPs) refers to a broad range of both organic and inorganic compounds. In order to minimize the side effects, a modern medicine delivery system should reduce dosage and frequency. Based on their size, morphology, physical characteristics, and chemical composition, they can be divided into many types. Fullerenes, metal NPs, ceramic NPs, and polymeric NPs are a few of the various subcategories. Since they are small and have a large surface area, NPs have unique physical and chemical properties. Nanoparticles have better properties due to their small size, such as high reactivity, strength, surface area, sensitivity, stability, etc. A variety of procedures are used to create nanoparticles for research and industrial applications. To provide a review of nanoparticles, their types, synthesis, and applications in the field of the environment, we have prepared this work.
