We extend help to the needy. We are advocates for justice, peace & order. We protect the citizenry, planet earth. We are the "friendly" police at your service anytime, anywhere. whatever we do as law enforcers. We must be reminded to adhere with the Code of Ethics. That we are responsible of the actions we undertake. And the words we speak. For we are Public Servants.

We were directed to wear athletic uniform, and I doubted. I was right-my questions were answered. The practical exercises that we've done such as "Threading the Doughnut", "Night Hour Operation", "Rescue Operation" and the like where we learned decision making, critical thinking, interpersonal relations, tactical communication, protocol and humility. It reminds me of "Ivory Tower" Syndrome-a syndrome on a severe "Headquarter Disease" in many organization and the Philippine National Police is not an excuse. "Headquarter Disease" often assume they simply tell the organization what to do, how to do and when to do while the rest of the organization are just tactical implementers. For me, I can avoid the "Ivory Tower" Syndrome by simple pro-actively seek inputs, engaging the organization into the strategy development, make my expertise relevant to my new environment especially as I begin my new journey as Police Commissioned Officer.
