Eighty subjects were included in the study which was divided into four Groups based on dentition and skeletal relationship. The Group I (n = 20) and Group II (n = 20) includes young and completely dentulous subjects in Angle's class I and class II relationship, respectively. The Group III (n = 20) and Group IV (n = 20) subjects were completely edentulous in Angle's class I and class II relationship, respectively. For all subjects, right lateral cephalograms were taken and cephalometric analysis was done and data obtained from cephalometric tracings were then statistically analyzed. The results showed no significant difference of angle between Occlusal plane and Frankfort Horizontal plane, Camper's plane and Palatal plane when Group I an...

Ozone gas has a high-oxidation potential and has the capacity to stimulate blood circulation and the immune response. It is a great supplement to conventional therapeutic dental modalities. Treatment may be achieved by increasing the resistance of the tooth against the microbial activity and reducing the extent of microbial activity. In addition to the recent materials and techniques, the therapeutic actions of ozone may provide beneficial results by reducing the demineralization of the tooth. Its bactericide, virucide and fungicide effects are based on its strong oxidation effect with the formation of free radicals as well as its direct destruction of almost all microorganisms. This potentially beneficial agent has been used in dentistry also. Ozone has a wide application in ...

However, there is no overall study already published on the assessment of related substances in the Compound Ketoconazole and Clobetasol Propionate Cream. In this work, a reliable HPLC-TOF-MS qualitative method was developed for the analysis of related substances in this preparation with a quick and easy extraction procedure. Besides the active pharmaceutical ingredients, two compounds named ketoconazole impurity B′ optical isomer and ketoconazole impurity E were identified. Furthermore, a new HPLC method for qualitative and quantitative assessment on related substances and degradation products, which were found in the stability test, was established and validated. The single standard to determine multi-components method was applied in the quantitative analysis, which was an effective way for reducing cost and improving accuracy. This study can provide a creative idea for routine analysis of quality control of the Compound Ketoconazole and Clobetasol Propionate Cream.

Approximately 35 years ago a role of human papillomaviruses (HPV) in cervical cancer has been postulated. Today it is well established that this very heterogeneous virus family harbours important human carcinogens, causing not only the vast majority of cervical, but also a substantial proportion of other anogenital and head and neck cancers. This review will cover some of the pathogenetic aspects of papillomavirus research; it tries briefly to analyze the present state of linking HPV to human cancers and other oral lesions and will discuss some emerging developments.
