From this dataset 40 individuals were randomly selected. 8 microorganisms were also selected. Their relative abundances were corrected so that their total was 100%. The fact that the original dataset is based on self-selection, makes it doubtful that the selection of the individuals is 'truly random'. We will however assume that they are. 13 individuals are obese, 27 are non-obese. There are no missing values for BMI. 15 individuals are female, 24 male. For one individual the gender is not known. 7 men and 6 women are obese. 8 men are non-obese and the same is true for 18 women.
