The total of 65 sedentary male individuals between the ages of 19-45, who had never exercises regularly in their lives, participated in the present research. Of these participants, 35 wanted to be included in the exercise group, while 30 didn’t want to attend exercises and formed the control group. Individuals, who exercised for an hour, 3 days a week, for eight weeks, formed the experiment group of the research. Pre-test data were collected by obtaining basal metabolic rate, fat percentages, and circumference measures of some body parts. Post-test data were also collected with the same method and same body parts after eight weeks. Within the scope of the research, age, height, body weight, body circumference measurements, skinfold thickness, bio-impedance and bodygem measurements were taken from the participants. Skinfold thickness was mea...

Data was collected from owners or top managers and managers in charge of human resource issues of 100 small and medium sized companies operating in Turkey. Human resource strategies were analyzed on a unipolar dimension ranging from internal orientation to external orientation. An instrument was developed to measure Human resource practices based on human resource functions. Organizational strategy was measured using an instrument developed by Zajac and Shortell (1989) based on Miles and Snow’s (1978; 1987) typology. The study revealed that prospector organizations were more likely to have an externally oriented human resource approach. A general external orientation in human resources is reflected in the recruitment, retention, and performance management functions of the organizations.

The research included 60 sedentary female volunteers aged from 35-50 years (age range: 30.4-54.2 years, mean: 41.2 ± 6.37). Subjects in the research were tested for basic movement patterns, stabilization and mobilization. The study was planned to last 8 weeks, with 2 training sessions per week. At the end of 8 weeks, FMS tests were repeated. Statistical analyses used the SPSS program. P values of less than 0.05 were considered statistically significant. The total score in the group with 2 days Pilates per week increased from 13.08 to 17,85, while the scores for the group with 1 day Pilates and 1 day aerobic exercise rose from 13 from 15 (p<0.05). The control group had pre-test measurement of 13.25 and post-test measurement of 13.19, with no significant change observed (p>0.05). While there was no difference between the groups for preliminary FMS results, there were significant differences between the final FMS results (pre-test p: 0.92, post-test p: 0.015). In conclusion, 2 days of Pilates exercise preserved and developed functional movement, stability and mobility and reduced the risk of injury. Though one day Pilates and one day aerobic exercise improved FMS scores, it did not reduce the risk of injury.

The FMS consists of seven test batteries that are widely used by doctors, physiotherapists and sports specialists. The research was conducted with a total of 25 performance tennis players (14 women, 11 men), 14 national team players. The total score, individual scores, and asymmetries were examined in the analysis of the movement, and differences were examined according to gender, past injury status and being national athlete status.SPSS 21.0 packaged program was used for statistical analyses. Mann Whitney U test was applied to the groups by taking the mean and standard deviations of the total score and 7 evaluations of the movement analysis. According to the obtained results; The total FMS scores of the tennis players ranged from 9 to 20 (mean 13.92). The percentage of tennis players who have at least one asymmetry is 88%. The highest asymmetry was found in shoulder mobility (48%) and hurdle step (40%) while the least asymmetry was in the parameter of the rotary stability (16%). When the FMS scores were compared according to the gender, there was a significant difference in favor of men in the pushup parameters (p <0,05), being the national team player and past injuries had no effect on the FMS scores (p> 0,05). As a result, it can be said that the total FMS score is low in elite young tennis players and there are important problems in terms of right and left side asymmetry prevalence It can be said that this may cause a decrease of technical capacity and increase the risk of athletes' injury.

Sixteen males were separated into two matched groups. The STHA group completed 3 days of exercise heat acclimation; 60 minutes cycling at 50%. VO2peak in 40 degrees C 20% relative humidity (RH). The control group (CON) completed 3 days of exercise training in 20 degrees C, 40% RH. Each group completed a hypoxic stress test (HST) one week before and 48 hours following the final day of CON or STHA. Percentage changes in HSP72 concentrations were similar between STHA and CON following HST1 (P = 0.97). STHA induced an increase in basal HSP72 (P = 0.03) with no change observed in CON (P = 0.218). Basal mHSP72 remained elevated before HST2 for the STHA group (P 0.05). Percent change in mHSP72 was lower after HST2 in STHA compared to CON (P = 0.02). The mHSP72 response to hypoxic exercise was attenuated following 3 days of heat acclimation. This is indicative of improved tolerance and ability to cope with the hypoxic insult, potentially mediated in part by increased basal reserves of HSP72

Materials and Methods: The study population consisted of 16 sprinters and 16 long distance runners. Each subject was divided into his/her own branch as sprinting and distance training. Within the scope of the study, the height, body weight, sporting age, Foxp3+ T regulatory cells and cytokine values of subjects were recorded. Immunity subparameters were compared in venous blood samples taken before and after training. The Wilcoxon test was used to compare the values before and after training with level of statistical significance accepted as p<0.05. Results: A statistically significant change was not observed for Foxp3+ T regulatory cells before and after training in sprinter (p=0.47) and distance runners (p=0.52). Sprinters had increased IL-2 (p=0.00), IL-4 (p=0.00), IL-10 (p=0.02), IL-17 (p=0.000) and TNF-α (p=0.000),...

Also in the study, it is tested whether age groups, league statuses, sports experience levels provide meaningful differences on the athletes' training continuity and levels of flow experience or not. 138 voluntarily admitted football players from Muglaspor amateur league, who were selected by using random sampling method, participated in the study. In order to determine the athletes' training continuity, a "Personal Information Form" which inquire athletes' training continuity in daily, weekly, monthly and annual training periods, and which consists of 4 questions to describe the participant athletes; and in order to determine the athletes' flow experience, "Dispositional Flow State Scale-2" which was developed by Jackson and Eklund (2004); tested for validity and reliability and accommodated for Turkish athletes by Asci and colleagues (2007) was used in the study as a data collection tool. According to the results of the study, a very strong positive correlation at 0.001 meaningfulness level was found between the training continuity and flow experience. The results of the study also show that there are meaningful differences on athletes' training continuity and flow experience in terms of sports experiences.
