The experimental method with CompletelyRandomize Block Design of one factor with four treatments and three replications. Result of this researchdemonstrated that manure with dosage 1282.68 gr/m2 (P3) was the best to raise soil organic material contentand soil Phosphor was available. Al-dd got any decrease from each tested dosage. Soil texture was not changebut red yellow podsolic soil fraction during the result got to change particulary at dosage 1282,68 gr/m 2 (P3)was best during research.
Research of Toxicity and sub-lethal test of industrial palm oil waste water to Oreochromis sp. ha... more Research of Toxicity and sub-lethal test of industrial palm oil waste water to Oreochromis sp. has been conducted on February, 1 to March, 1, 2019 in Aquaculture Technology Laboratory, Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty University of Riau. Objective of this research is to determine the concentration of a test material or the level of an agent that produces a deleterious effect on Oreochromis sp. during a short-time exposure under controlled condition. In this study, static 96-h acute toxicity tests were carried out using Oreochromis sp. as test organisms. Probit analysis using the computer software EPA and graphical method were used to calculate the 96-h LC50 depending on data suitability. Results of the 96-h LC50 and Biological Safety Level of the industrial palm oil waste water were 126, 06 ml/L and 1.26 ml/L respectively.

The aim of this study was to discover the effects of medium salinities on osmotic performance rate, blood cortisol, and growth performance (absolute growth weight and lenght, specific growth rate (SGR), feed conversion (FC), feed efficiency (FE), survival rate (SR)) of T. blochii under recirculating system. The histological alterations (kidney and gill) and water quality (temperature, pH, DO, NH3, NO2 and NO3) were also observed. The 56-day experiment was carried out in Balai Perikanan Budidaya Laut (BPBL) of Batam, Indonesia. A total of 300 fish specimens (11-13 cm in length, weighing 28-29 g) were raised in a 100 L tank containing 80 L of water at a density of 1 fish 4 L (20 fish in total). They were fed with commercial pellet (46% protein...

This research aims to understand the effects of fermented booster mixture addition toward plankton abundance. There were 5 treatments applied, Po (control); P1 (0.075 mL L); P2 (0.45 mL L); P3 (0.825 mL L) and P4 (1.2 mL L). The booster was added to hybrid tilapia (Oreochromis aureus x O. niloticus) culture media (circular tank, 80 L, brackish water 17 ppt). The fish (2.04-2.87 g body weight (BW), 5.2-5.43 cm total length (TL)) density was 40 fishes tank, and they were fed on commercial pellet (38% protein content), 3 times a day, 5% of their biomass. The fish was reared for 70 days and the fermented booster that contains plankton booster (molasses, inositol, manganese, zinc, iron, copper, cobalt), aqua enzyme (Bacillus subtilis, B. polymyxa, B. licheniformis (9 × 10 CFU L), alpha protease, amylase, cellulose), and amino liquid (vitamine A, D3, E, K3, B1, B6...

Several filter materials were used into four kinds of treatment, namely aquarium using aerators (control), aquarium using spons, aquarium using carcoal and palm fiber as well as aquarium using zeolite. Results of the study showed that different filter materials were significantly affecting in the juaro fish fingerling culture media. As long as adaptation period (one week), juaro fish fingerling (Pangasius polyuranodon) could be weaning to consume fish meal by involving other fish species in the same culture media. It was found that treatment of water resirculation system combining with zeolite increased water quality parameters such as DO (3.9-4.56 mg/L), CO2 (8.6-9.15 mg/L), NH3 (0.02-0.10 mg/L), NO2 (0.01-0.08 mg/L), NO3 (0.01-0.09 mg/L) respectively, however, pH and temperature did not differ significantly. The best results were achieved at the same treatment especially absolute weight (9.24 g), absolute length (5.14 cm), specific growth rates (1.76 %), biomass (62.23 g), food efficiency (28.07%), FCR (3.45%) and survival rate (86.67 %).

One of the technological innovations to improve the quality of chicken manure is fermentation using EM4 to produce bokashi fertilizer. Bokashi fertilizer can increase the abundance of phytoplankton and zooplankton which are useful as natural fish food so that they can reduce the use of artificial feed, which in turn can reduce the operational costs of fish farming. Community service activities are carried out for the purpose of innovating knowledge and skills of fish farmers regarding techniques for making bokashi fertilizer from chicken manure and techniques for making fish feed in the form of pellets to increase cultivated fish production. This activity is carried out by lecturing, discussion and practice methods, which involve fish cultivator groups ...

This village is prospective to be used as rearing sites for aquaponic systems. Aquaponic cultivation technology can be developed in limited area and water, and it also can increase business efficiency through the utilization of nutrients from the uneaten fish meal and the metabolism wastes of fish for vegetables, so it could be able to produce fish and vegetables optimally on narrow land and limited water sources, including in urban areas. Through the fish rearing with aquaponic systems, fish farmers will get two advantages in one production stage. This activity was carried out through discussion and practice, which the activity took place in the village office and in the home yard of the fish farmer group in Harapan Village. Extension activities involve fish farmers, plantation farmers and several students. The results of the...

Type of soil type is black on the top layer and yellow on the bottom layer. Width of the waters of Koto Pangean Village is 2,003.25 ha, has been used for fisheries activities ranging from 2.50 ha in lakes, 1.8 ha swamps, rivers of 180 ha and 10 ha for a fishpond. Several kinds of fish are reared in this village such as African catfish (Clarias batrachus), tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) and carp (Cyprinus carpio). The main problems faced by fish farmers in this village are: the occurrence of fish deaths caused by decreasing of water quality, accumulation of organic matter, the number of fish attacked by disease and increasing number of pathogenic microorganisms that attack fish, and high commercial fishmeal prices which results in high operational costs for fish farming. To overcome these problems, knowledge innovations are carried out to...
