A man in this world needs some sort of entertainment and joy to lead a happy life; he requires money to meet out his daily expenses, above all he longs for peace and tranquility in his life. Urging for music is man's natural desire because it provides us with a medium to express the feelings lying deep in our heart. It exalts us with joy and delight and thus brings peace to our mind and soul. Our cultural heritage can be kept alive over the generations with musical notes. Without music we can not think of a culture because every society in this world has its own music. Particular musical modes associate with a particular society and culture. Some tonal combinations and melodies represent cultural background of a particular society. Like raga sindh bhairavi, rag manjh, nat bhairav, pahari etc. associate with particular regional societies and represent their cultures; folk tunes and folk songs have colours of their rituals and customs. Children are in the habit of being fascinated by the sweet things. Musical tones have a very strong appeal and their sensations affect the mind and the soul sweetly, therefore children long for it from the core of their hearts. Musical mnemonics help them to memorize the important facts. It gives exposure to the inner urges of the children. Songs with themes based on ideals are usually part of religious activities. It is therefore that the devotional renderings are made musical to teach morality to the human beings in our religious shrines. Thus it will certainly be of great advantage if young ones are taught the ethics with the help of music.

In the same way, when the vibrations of musical tones strike the mind, it also corresponds. In this process the emotional outlook and the aesthetic attitude of a child are widened and his mental growth gets a boost. Music affects the nerves and the brain; it brings reduction in fatigue, relieves tension, arouses happiness, courage and energy. Even in the Copper age, people were aware of the healing power of music. They used music for the treatment of unwell persons. Today, Tibetans' bowl is being used by the monks for this purpose.
