Methods: The method of the present study was quasi-experimental with pre-test-post-test design and control and follow-up group. The statistical population consisted of adolescents with substance dependent parents who had referred to drug addiction treatment centers in Tabriz. 30 of them were sampled in a targeted and accessible manner and were randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups. Research data were collected using the Nordgah Fard Family Emotional Atmosphere Questionnaire (1994) and the Mousavi et al. Addiction Tendency Scale (2008) and analyzed by repeated measures analysis of variance. Results: The results of the present study showed that family empowerment is effective on changing the emotional atmosphere of the family and prevention of addiction in adolescents with substance dependent parents and this effectiveness is stable in quarterly follow-up. Conclusion: According to the results of the present study, it can be concluded that family empowerment based on socio-emotional learning is one of the effective therapies on the emotional atmosphere of the family and addiction prevention.

Epidemiological studies and the following preventive programs are the first steps to save many individuals from being handicapped and non-productive. Hereby, we aimed to study the prevalence of hearing impairment in Ardabil province and to assess the prevalent causes of hearing impairment in Ardabil. Methods: In this study, 10718 cases were selected by random cluster sampling from rural and urban population in Ardabil province. Data was gathered using screening questionnaire, normal-and impaired-hearing individual questionnaire, and clinical audiometry. Statistical indices were calculated and data was analyzed using chi-square test. Results: 7.1 per thousand individuals suffer hearing impairment and 4.3 per thousand are deaf. Hearing impairment was significantly more among villagers and aged individuals (p=0.46). However, there was no significant deference between two genders (p>0.05). Our results also showed significant deference in consanguineous marriage (p=0.031), accidents in pregnancy (p=0.007), older age of mother (p=0.007), parents hearing loss, severe illness during childhood (p=0.001), low family income (p=0.004), rural housing and educational level of parents (p=0.001) with hearing impairment. Conclusion: Health status, economical, cultural and educational level of society are the most important factors associated with hearing impairment in Ardabil province. Consequently, extensive preventive programs are required to limit such factors.

This study investigated the relationship between psychological capital and good feeling among the women teachers. To this end, this study used a descriptive correlation approach carried on female teachers of Ardabil city in Iran. From this population, 80 women selected with multi-stage cluster sampling method and psychological capacity and sense of humor questionnaires carried on them. Data analyzed with Pearson correlation and multiple regression techniques. Results indicated that optimism, resilience and confidence have a significant relationship with a sense of humor, but the relationship between sense of humor and hope, was negligible. Another result was that resilience had a considerable positive relationship with all four factors of humor sense. Optimism related to humor and humor creation and confidence was associated only with humor creation. The hope, had not a great relationship with each of the four factors humor. Considering the relationship between psychological capacity and sense of humor, if the organization's managers focus on both increasing psychological capacity and a sense of humor in staff, its impact on work results will be considerably larger than when the focus is only on one of these two variables.

These negative effects are not limited to psychological problems. Serious physiological and economic problems have also been observed. It is important to develop and standardize appropriate tools to assess its different effects. This study aims to investigate the psychometric properties of the Persian version of the COVID-19 Phobia Scale (C19P-S) in Iranian samples. Methods: In this study, participants were people aged 18-60 years in Iran from March to May 2022, who were selected by a convenience sampling method. In order to evaluate the convergent and discriminant validity, the second version of the acceptance and action questionnaire, the brief version of the difficulty in emotion regulation scale, and the fear of COVID‐19 scale were used. The factor structure of the questionnaire was examined by confirmatory factor analysis. Reliability was examined using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient and the test-retest method. The data were analyzed in SPSS version 25 and LISREL version 8.8. Results: The results of confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the four-factor structure the Persian C19P-S. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient for the whole scale was 0.90; for the subscales of psychological, psychological, economic and social factors, it was 0.87, 0.88, 0.89, and 0.91, respectively. In addition, the test-retest reliability with a four-week interval for the whole scale was 0.86; for the subscales of psychological, psychological, economic and social factors, it was 0.83, 0.79, 0.82, and 0.88, respectively. The correlation coefficients indicated the favorable convergent and discriminant validity of the Persian C19P-S (P<0.001). Conclusion: The Persian C19P-S is a reliable and valid scale for measuring coronaphobia in Iranian samp

In so doing, a causal method was used, and the statistical population included all men and women with dermatologic diseases who referred to skin clinics in Gilan Province in 2015. A convenience sampling method was employed to select 30 patients as the study sample. In addition, for the comparison group 30 normal individuals were also chosen from among the patients’ family members. The participants completed a demographic questionnaire, the HEXACO Personality Inventory, Billings and Moos Coping Checklist, and BRAUMS mood States Questionnaire. To analyze the data, MANOVA was employed. The results of the present study indicated that there was no difference between the patients and healthy individuals in terms of personality dimensions. However, there was a difference between their emotion-focused coping sub-components and sub-components of stress coping strategies. No difference was not observed in subcomponents of problem-focused coping strategies. Moreover, there was a difference between the patients and health individuals in terms of the subcomponents of tension, depression, fatigue, and anger. Because mental problems are associated with dermatologic diseases, it is better to simultaneously employ psychological and physical medicines in order to treat dermatologic patients as soon as possible
