Efforts to avoid food insecurity should immediately find solutions so that food availability can be realized in all regions of Indonesia. As the implementation of the Basic Agrarian Law no. 5 of 1960, so that farmers have enough agricultural land for food production purposes. Global climate change has triggered various kinds of disasters that impact the water resources sector, such as drought, floods and criticality of land, especially in areas where food crops are produced which will have an impact on food production. Jatipurno District is one of the areas that produces food and functions as a hinterland area so that it has the potential to realize food independence. Food independence can be realized by the availability of abundant food, can meet the food needs of the local population and even excess. The amount or at least of the available food production depends on the environmental characteristics of the food provider. The purpose of this research is divided into three stages, the aim of resistant research I is to determine the status of water carrying capacity, stage II to analyze the carrying capacity of land and stage III to analyze the carrying capacity of the environment on food availability in Jatipurno district, Wonogiri Regency. The method used is secondary analysis based on a comparison formula between the availability and needs of each variable, including water, land and food. The final result of this study is a map of the carrying capacity of the environment on food availability in Jatipurno Subdistrict Wonogiri Regency in 2020, which describes the level of environmental capacity of the food provider.
