Contrariwise, there are no natural oil resources in Cyprus; over 90% of the country's main energy is imported to the island which needs high financial government credit [1]. Indeed, high CO2 emissions and their side effects on the global environment as well as destruction role on the ozone layer are among major problems of using non-renewable energy. Considering the geographic location of North Cyprus, it has over 300 sunny days out of 365 days of a year; therefore, there is a considerable potential to integrate solar tracking systems into various parts of industrials or residential portions in the country. In a time when using more renewable sources of energy is important to decline obvious environmental problems, it seems to be beneficial to use photovoltaic systems such as "Building Integrated Photovoltaic". As housing consumes over 40 percent of the produced ener...

The notion of car-free streets or pedestrian malls, especially in the downtown or the historical city centers has been emerged as a critical challenge faced to whose are responsible for urban managing, besides of urban planner and architects as well. Many factors (outside and inside) contribute to take the decision in transforming these streets into the pedestrian malls. Sulaimani as the other historic cities, although has the most compacted and traditional structure, especially in original and commercial part of the city, has suffered from the congested city center which day by day increases, the related urban problems and became more un-friendly. Therefore, after the theoretical understanding of the framework of the research, the study will focus on experimental research on the Salamis rode of Famagusta to assess the problems of walkability in the street to propose a sustainable and human friendly solution for this area. The main aim of the research is to find what is the interrelation between pedestrianisation in public urban spaces and walkability? Therefore, it concludes that walkability as a part of pedestrianisation scheme will lead to increase the quality of the urban environment by increasing safety and organization in urban infra-instructors.

Unfortunately, there are lots of industrial building which lost its function by converting the place to live and identifiable place. This research will clarify the reasons for conserving of the industrial heritage and by classification of international charters which are dealing with industrial heritage will introduce conservation methods for adaptive reuse of industrial buildings. As a case study, the research will focus on Energy Museum in Istanbul. To assess the building based on reusing principals. The study concludes that the Energy Museum is one of the successful examples of reuse of the building. It also concludes that less intervention in reusing a building can save the identity of the building.

Producers behave myopically in that they believe the future. price per unit of housing services will equal the current price. Demolition occurs when the expected present value of profits from continuing to operate an existing structure equals the expected present value of profits from redevelopment. The model is analyxed under the assumption of Cobb-Douglas utility and production functions and constant rates of growth for income, commuting cost, the utility level, and the prices of non-land capital and agricultural land. Computer simulation provides a concrete example of a city which grows according to the model. Copyright0 19KIbyAcademicI%w,Inc. Au ligbt.5 of repmduction in my form -.
