Hambatan kapal atau Resistance adalah salah satu yang sangat di perhatikan. Dari permasalahan ini penulis melakukan penelitian untuk mencari niali hambatan terkecil dari kapal Perintis 750 DWT setelah di lakuakan perubahan bentuk haluannya dari konvensional menjadi bentuk X-Bow. Pada proses pencetakan motif pada kain grey ditemukan waste transportation yang mempengaruhi pencapaian target produksi PT Kharisma Printex. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan langsung dan data yang telah dikumpulkan, waste transportation disebabkan oleh tata letak yang kurang baik yang mengakibatkan terjadi gerakan backtracking dengan total jarak sejauh 57,05 meter. Bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is one of most important crops worldwide but suffers from a considerable grain yield losses due to soil salinity. The current study was designed to evaluate bread wheat genotypes for salt tolerance based on seedling traits. In this context, a set of 22 bread wheat genotypes were assessed against salinity stresses at early seedling stage (12 and 16 dSm) along with control. However, it is unclear that how and when the electrokinetic remediation gives advantages over other remediation techniques in soil. This study was designed to find the influence of Fe(2+) particles on the mobility of Pb(2+) ions, during electrokinetic remediation, in soil contaminated purposely by lead nitrate Pb(NO3)2. Two types of electrokinetic experiments were performed, by using iron and graphite electrodes. The Fe(2+) ions from the iron electrodes, produced due to acidic environment in anode compartment, affected the mobility of lead particles by precipitating as Fe(OH)2. Fe(2+) ions enhance the adsorption of lead ions in soil. The results show Fe(2+) ions of lower ionic conductivity decreased mobility of other particles in soil. Air pollution caused by the combustion of coal at the Badarpur Thermal Power Plants, New Delhi, h... more Air pollution caused by the combustion of coal at the Badarpur Thermal Power Plants, New Delhi, had a bearing on size and amount of wood elements across the tree trunk of Indian blackberry (Syzygium cumini Skeel.). Compared with the control, vessel elements in different positions along pith to cambium were significantly shorter (31-49%) and narrower (23-37%) in trees growing at the polluted sites. Moreover, vessel frequency (number of vessels per mm 2) and consequently the vessel area on transverse surface of the wood were lower than in the control in each part of the wood sample examined. The difference at different positions along the wood-core radius in the control and stressed trees varied was 4-58% for vessel frequency and 17-32% for vessel area. Xylem fibres also showed, like vessel elements, a significant decrease in length as well as diameter at each of the positions analyzed. This study included 100 consecutive biopsy specimens of urothelial neoplasms of the urinary bladder diagnosed at the department of Histopathology, Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Rawalpindi. The present study was aimed at establishing a short and cost-effective in vitro regeneration system for elite sugarcane cultivars through simultaneous shoot/root induction. The innermost spindle leaf and shoot tip were used as explants. For callus induction, Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) was used and 5.0 mg/L of 2,4-D supported maximum callus induction (84.5%). Three-week-old calli were treated with different levels of benzylaminopurine (BAP) ranging from 0.00 to 3.5 mg/L in MS medium, where 2.5 mg/L BAP was proven to be the best level for regeneration. In a multiplication and root formation medium, 0.5 mg/L naphthalene acetic acid supported the maximum number of roots per plant. Finally, a direct somatic embryogenesis protocol was established, competent enough for simultaneous root/shoot induction. The results indicated that the plantlets were established within 12 weeks only. This in vitro regeneration protocol was fast and cost-effective and may be used for large-scale in vitro regeneration of sugarcane cultivars to save time and resources. The sugarcane cultivar SPF-234 remained the most responsive, followed by HSF-242 and CPF-246.
The CH 2 Cl 2 /CH 3 OH (1/1) extract of the dried stem bark of Terminalia superba afforded two co... more The CH 2 Cl 2 /CH 3 OH (1/1) extract of the dried stem bark of Terminalia superba afforded two compounds, (7S,8R,7 0 R,8 0 S)-4 0hydroxy-4-methoxy-7,7 0-epoxylignan and meso-(rel 7S,8R,7 0 R,8 0 S)-4,4 0-dimethoxy-7,7 0-epoxylignan along with 11 known compounds. The structures of the compounds were established by analysing the spectroscopic data and also comparing it with the data of previously known analogues. All the isolated compounds were evaluated for their glycosidase inhibition activities. Gallic acid and methyl gallate showed significant a-glucosidase inhibition activity.
