Understanding the factors that influence a women's intention to limit her ability and desire to bear children is important for family planning program purposes and population policies. This paper has focuses on identifying the prevalent factors that influences a woman’s intention to limit pregnancy, by measuring the impact of those factors on her intentions. The paper also provides a few recommendations toward addressing issues regarding childbearing. Methodology: This study is a retrospective analysis of data from the 2004, 2007, 2011 and 2014 Bangladesh Demography and Health Survey (BDHS). Cases in the study are childbearing-aged married women. The dependent variable is the women’s intention to limit her childbearing, in the forms of desiring more children or not. To measure the impact, a logistic regression model is considered. Thus, understanding the overall condition of consumer's attitude towards online shopping is important for Bangladesh. This paper has focused on identifying the different factors that influence young consumers' attitude towards online shopping in Dhaka. This study collects data through a structured questionnaire using convenience sampling where the study cases are Dhaka University students. To measure the impact, a multiple regression model has been considered. Result shows that, all eight factors have a positive impact on young consumer's attitude towards online shopping: security (beta value: 0.160), after sales service (0.062), time savings (0.191), return policy (0.170), website design (0.183), product quality (.053), previous experience (.084) and reputation of the online vendor (.197). Analysis of Variance shows that, six major socio-demographic factors: gender, family income, personal income, educational level, member of the current residence and daily use of internet has statistically significant association (p value < 0.05) with consumer's attitude towards online shopping. T-test shows that, in terms of convenience and existence of return policy, consumers prefer shopping through online. But when it comes to fun, bargaining and roaming traditional shopping is still preferable. For the betterment of this scenario, this paper recommends to build trust among consumers, providing security, return policy, creating awareness and promoting this new form of business.

Statistical methods are usually used for PK parameter estimation producing nonlinear responses where drug effect mechanism is modeled using compartmental approach. In the present study, PK parameters were estimated with nonlinear fixed effects one compartment open model where drug dose and sampling time are covariates and the plasma drug concentration is dependent variable. The PK parameters namely absorption rate constant (a), elimination rate constant (b) and apparent volume of distribution (V) were estimated using nonlinear least square method for each individual separately and for all individuals collectively with longitudinal or multiple response plasma drug concentration-time data obtained from 24 healthy human volunteers with reference drug product of Atorvastatin. The estimates for combined data were â =0.13±0.13hr-1 , =0.49±0.13hr-1 , =248±0.05L. All the individuals were again stratified into three categories based on Body Mass Index (BMI) and the PK parameters were estimated for each stratum accordingly (

T... more DNA methylation of specific dinucleotides has been shown to be strongly linked with tissue age. The goal of this research is to explore different analysis techniques for microarray data in order to create a more effective predictor of age from DNA methylation level. Specifically, this study compares elastic net regression models to principal component regression, supervised principal component regression, Y-aware principal component regression, and partial least squares regression models and their ability to predict tissue age based on DNA methylation levels. It has been found that the elastic net model performs better than latent variable models when considering less than ten principal components for each method, but Y-aware principal component regression predicts more accurately (with a reasonably low testing RMSE) and captures more of the desired structure when the number of principal components increases to 20. Coding limitations inhibited forming conclusive results about the performance of supervised principal component regression as the number of components increases.

Meta-analysis studies that use unreliable observational studies should be in question. We examine the reliability of the base studies used in an air quality/heart attack meta-analysis and the resulting meta-analysis. Methods A meta-analysis study that includes 14 observational air quality/heart attack studies is examined for its statistical reliability. We use simple counting to evaluate the reliability of the base papers and a p-value plot of the p-values from the base studies to examine study heterogeneity. Findings We find that the based papers have massive multiple testing and multiple modeling with no statistical adjustments. Statistics coming from the base papers are not guaranteed to be unbiased, a requirement for a valid meta-analysis. There is study heterogeneity for the base papers with strong evidence for so called p-hacking. Interpretation We make two observations: there are many claims at issue in each of the 14 base studies so uncorrected multiple testing is a serious issue. We find the base papers and the resulting meta-analysis are unreliable.

For this purpose, we considered three companies (GlaxoSmithKline, Sanofi Bangladesh and Novartis Bangladesh). The research draws attention to the fact that Non EPI vaccines are being thought of as a segmented item instead of a generalized one. Non EPI vaccine intake is higher mostly among educated people belonging to a medium to high income bracket. Other factors that affect the sales of Non EPI vaccines include a negative general perception about Non EPI vaccines and insufficient level of awareness. Fear of injection was also seen as an important factor. The research concludes with some recommendations, Vaccines are being supplied to the people at the lowest possible prices. Unfortunately these low prices exceed the purchasing power of majority of the population. Awareness level of Non EPI vaccines is low. This ...

For the aspiration of analysis, Bangladesh Demographic and Health Survey (BDHS), 2011 data have been used. ANOVA has been performed to detect the interregional disparity of WE. Bivariate analysis has been performed to examine the association between different factors and women empowerment status. To measure the impact of the prevalent factors on women empowerment status, a logistic regression model has been considered. The key findings are: firstly, all the divisions' women are not empowered. Secondly, respondent's age, respondent's education, place of residence, respondent's working status, wealth index, media exposure, region and husband's age are influential factors for WE. The findings of this paper indicate that a significant improvement of WE has been observed with the increase of age of respondents and their husbands as well as the educational level.
