This study uses microscopic techniques to provide detailed information on pollen and its exine structure based on qualitative and quantitative characters. The present study has observed three types of pollen grains based on their apertures, that is, trizonocolporate, tetrazonocolporate, and tricolporate. Exine sculpturing is echinate in all studied taxa. Some species also exhibit Lacunae which differ in their shape and sizes. The size of the spines and the number of spines between the colpi play a vital role in differentiating the species of the same genus. Pollen fertility ranges from 94.3 to 74.19, showing that these species are well established in the study area. For the correct identification of species, a light and scanning electron microscopy was used that provides sufficient information for a taxonomist to distinguish species taxonomically.

Elastomeric blends are used for many reasons such as lowering the compound cost, for ease of fabrication and to improve the performance of the industrial rubber. In this study, 20 different rubber compounds were prepared by using SMR-20 type of natural rubber and SBR-1502 type of styrene–butadiene rubber in different levels (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 pphr) and each recipe reinforced with carbonblack at different ratio (20, 40, 60 and 80) pphr (part per hundred). The physical properties – such as thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, swelling and specificgravity were studied. The results show that the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity increased with increase of loading level of carbon black and these properties decreased with the increase of NR to SBR. The swelling property in this work measured by c...

The most reliable method to assess anatomy in living people is during the surgery, so a clean dissection, accurate visual identification, and a profound knowledge of expected variations are essential. In order to alert the surgeon and to reduce the incidence of complications, we describe the clinical anatomy of vascular and gallbladder variations faced during fifty laparoscopic cholecystectomies. Vascular anomalies were present in 18% of the patients; they include: caterpillar hump of the right hepatic artery, early division of cystic artery, low-inserted cystic artery, cystic artery originating from proper hepatic artery, and a rare anatomical variation whereby the right hepatic artery was found in the gallbladder bed. Gallbladder anomalies were present in 14% of the patients; they include: intrahepatic gallbladder, "Phrygian cap" gallbla...

By looking closely at the relations between these two groups, it seeks to understand how an ethnic conflict in the homeland is carried beyond borders and recreated in transnational space. It argues that while there has been no collective violence between the two groups many conflict indicators are evident, including: social distance, separation of social spaces, mutual avoidance, and conflicts at the discursive level. Although the conflict adversely affects their interactions, the animosity and conflict dynamics do not mirror the situation in the homeland and they have taken on a new form as a result of the conditions and experiences in the host country.

Concrete is widely used material for various construction activities due to its versatile character. But it causes environmental pollution due to production of Portland cement and quarrying of aggregate. Low calcium Fly ash and alkaline liquid as a binder is being used to replace the Portland cement to produce geo polymer concrete. In geopolymer concrete use of cement is completely evaded. This can be one of the methods to reduce the environmental pollution. The alkaline liquid has been used in geopolymerisation is the combination of sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate. The study revealed that there is possibility to replace natural coarse aggregate with demolished concrete in the geopolymer concrete. By the use of demolished aggregate in concrete, environmental pollution and reduction in valuable landfill will be evaded.

This neural controller is built based on the principles of neural network (NN) and the equation of conventional structure of PID controller and is applied on kinematic model of the mobile robot. The particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO) is utilized to find the best values of three PID NN parameters and connection weights that minimize the error between the reference path and the actual path. The results illustrate that the PID NN controller has a satisfied ability to make the mobile robot tracking any path with good performance, high accuracy and acceptable robustness.

To obtain the desired results, the best laser parameters were chosen. The parameters of the laser beam that have chief affected during the experiments in this work are peak power (1.9)kW, work frequency (8)Hz and pulse duration (5.3)ms, the preplaced powder technique favorite during a cladding process and the results in this work were proved by SEM, microhardness, EDS, and chemical corrosion tests. The results of the experimental work have shown that a micro-hardness increased about (28%) times for Aluminum/Alumina composite by silicon carbide cladding compared with the original value of micro-hardness, and thickness of the cladding layer was about (34μm). The resistance of corrosion was enhanced with about (35%) for the Aluminum/Alumina composite with SiC cladding.

Foxp3 + regulatory T cells (Tregs) are a distinct population of CD4 + lymphocytes identified by their expression of transcription factor forkhead homeobox protein-3 (Foxp3). These cells down-regulate immune responses in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Objective: This pilot study was aimed to investigate the levels of CD4 + CD25 + Foxp3 + Tregs in children with SARS-CoV-2. Methods: frequency of Tregs was measured by flow cytometry in 20 patients with SARS-CoV-2, 6 months to 15 years old; 6 had COVID-19 and 14 had multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C). They were compared to 20 age-and sex-matched healthy children as a control group. Results: There was no significant difference between patients with SARS-CoV-2 infection and healthy control children in the frequency of Tregs (P=0.068). Decreased numbers of Tregs was found in only 10% of SARS-CoV-2 patients. Patients with severe SARS-CoV-2 were comparable to those with moderate disease in terms of Tregs' levels. The frequency of Tregs correlated negatively with neutrophil counts in our series (p=0.036). Attempts of correlation with other inflammatory markers of SARS-CoV-2 were insignificant. Conclusion: Decreased levels of Tregs were found in only 10% of our SARS-CoV-2 infected children. The frequency did not correlate with the disease severity or levels of routine inflammatory markers of SARS-CoV-2. Thus, Tregs expression does not seem to have a role in the up-regulated immune response seen in moderate and severe SARS-CoV-2 infection. Our conclusions are limited by the sample size.
