Under situations of water shortage, adopting deficit irrigation treatment (DI60) could be an alternative for irrigation scheduling of spring and autumn potato under the arid conditions of southern Tunisia.

The use of operational amplifier is necessary for low power consumption, it is designed to provide large bandwidth and moderate DC gain. With 0.35µm CMOS technology, the ΣΔ modulator achieves 86 dB dynamic range, and 85 dB signal to noise ratio (SNR) over an 80 KHz signal bandwidth with an oversampling ratio (OSR) of 88, while dissipating 9.8mW at ±1.5V supply voltage.

In general, the perturbation under consideration is the creation of a small hole. In this paper, the topological asymptotic expansion is obtained for the Laplace equation with respect to the insertion of a short crack inside a plane domain. This result is illustrated by some numerical experiments in the context of crack detection.

In the other side, Wireless Sensor Network complexity applications have grown permanently, this rapid growth compared to the internal logical architecture of sensor node has increased the gap between sensor network and its applications. Sensor node always has preserved the same set of calculation logic regardless of application evolution. Developed applications such as video surveillance, intelligence, reconnaissance and applications emulating eyes found in robots are very hungry applications for intensive data and massive computing. Not only will it be necessary for nodes to process information, but they will have to react flexibly and act quickly when tasks become important. A fixed way of information processing is insufficient. There is no doubt that using a sophisticated solution to meet t...

To face the increasing demand, agriculture is required to increase its performance and probably to reduce its share for this resource. The pressure is particularly affecting fruit trees since they represent a sector of high irrigation water consumption particularly during the summer season. In many Mediterranean countries,

The potato crop cultivated under drip irrigation on private wells is used as a case study. The methodology considers commonly available climatic data, crop and soil characteristics, and information on local irrigation practices. It calculates

It consists of generating heat pulses at a point in the trunk and detecting their effect in another point. In spite of its usefulness its precision has not been demonstrated since the integration from one point measurement to the trunk cross section area could result in large errors. The more recently developed heat dissipation method, which is based on measuring temperature differences between heated and non heated probes, has been used on many forest species. Because it uses long probes (20 mm to 80 mm) it allows for better integration of the radial flow. The objective of this work is to investigate the practicality of using this technique for sap flow measurements of olive trees. To this end an experiment has been carried out on twelve year olive trees grown in central Tunisia. Four trees were selected for transpiration monitoring under changing water regime. On each tree three probes placed at different exposures were used, North (N), South East (SE) and South West (SW). Measurements of all twelve probes were collected every thirty minutes, over a complete growing season. Results obtained over periods where all probes were operating properly show a good coherence between sap flow estimates and environmental conditions. For the 95 days, during which all sensors were operational, daily values of sap flow density vary from 10 to 120 l dm-2 d -1 , about one to five ratio is observed between sensors. The mean value of sensors installed on each tree is highly correlated with the 12 sensors average values. When considering each direction separately, it seems that flux density is not related to the direction of the sensor, correlation between sap flow density of a sensor placed in a given direction and average value within that direction is variable. Variability of sap flow density between probes seems to be related rather to sapwood area heterogeneity. Regression equations relating sap flow density of each probe to the 12 probes average values were established and correlation coefficient exceed 0.85. With such calibrated equations, estimation of olive tree transpiration from a single probe and reconstitution of missing data becomes possible.

The architecture is dedicated for digital signature and it is based in the use of the open hard and soft sources. The development of the digital signature is based on the elliptic curve digital signature algorithm (ECDSA) and uses an open source cryptographic library named Miracl. The hardware development of the architecture is based on the use of the LEON2 soft core processor. To make Leon suitable for smart card some changes are made in the open VHDL packages of the LEON2 processor. We first in this paper present the simulation of the developed digital signature on an emulator environment of Leon named TSIM. Secondly, we show the simulation of the enhanced architecture with the developed elliptic curve digital signature in Modelsim environment. Finally an FPGA validation of the architecture implementing a 160-bit ECC over GF (p) is made on an Altera Excalubur development board. In this paper we prove that nowadays some open sources IP cores could be considered as solutions for soc application development.

Spunta) and soil salinity. For the two years, irrigation treatments consisted in water replacements of cumulated crop evapotranspiration (ETc) at levels of 100% (I100, full irrigation), 60% (I60) and 30% (I30), when the readily available water in I100 treatment was depleted, while the nitrogen treatments (N) were 0, 100, 200, and 300 kg/ha (No, N100, N200, and N300). Results showed that soil salinity values remained lower than those of electrical conductivity of irrigation water (ECiw) and were the lowest under treatment I100 and the highest with I30 treatment. Relatively low ECe values were also observed under I60 treatment. The highest potato yields for the two years were obtained with I100 treatment. Compared to I100, significant reductions in potato yields were observed under I60 and I30 deficit irrigation treatments resulting from a reduction in tubers number/m² and tuber weight. The water productivity (WP) was found to significantly vary among treatments, where the highest and the lowest values were observed for I30 and I100 treatments, respectively. Potato yield and WP increased with an increase in nitrogen rates. The rate of 300 kg N/ha was seen to give good yield and higher WP of potato under full (I100) and deficit (I60) irrigation treatments. However, application of N adversely affected potato yield and WP, when N level applied above 200 kg N/ha at I30. The WP was improved by N supply, but its effect decreased as the irrigation level increased. The IWP at I100, which produced the highest potato yield, was 8.5 and 9.9 kg/m 3 with N300 but this increased to 11.9 and 15.6 kg/m 3 at I30 with N200, in 2010 and 2011, respectively.
