The reaction of [{(5,7-dimethyl-1,8-naphthyridin-2-yl)amino}carbonyl]ferrocene (L 1) with [Cu(CH 3 CN) 4 ]-[OTf] in dichloromethane afforded complex 1 in high yield and the dicopper(II) complex 2 was obtained by the overnight treatment of N-(5,7-dimethyl-1,8-naphthyridin-2-yl)-1methylpyrrolidine-2-carboxamide (L 2 H) with [Cu(CH 3 CN) 4 ]-[BF 4 ] in dichloromethane.
