Data was collected from 150 Business School students at KIMEP University using questionnaires in Spring semester of 2024. Questionnaires were distributed two times: at the early beginning of the semester and at the end of the semester. During the semester, students thoroughly studied Artificial Intelligence and its functions and capacity. Additional classes on Artificial Intelligence tools were offered to students. Based on findings, the study proposes to address some positive implications of Artificial Intelligence integration in university teaching and learning globally. Artificial Intelligence has positive impact on students' learning process. However, special ethical rules and standards must be developed and introduced due to the fact that there are increasing concerns over the risks associated with Artificial Intelligence usage and how it might affect human being further.

It was found that, in general, Kazakhstan remains the leader in the sphere of investment attracting among the Central Asian countries. The risks of investing in other countries of Central Asia seriously exceed the risks of investing in Kazakhstan. The capital and investment, along with human resources, is an important development center. Foreign direct investment played an important role in the economic growth of developed countries. Almost every developed country has assisted foreign financial institutions in addition to its own small savings in the early stages of its development. Kazakhstan is known as a developing country in the center of Eurasia, which attracted over 151 billion of USA dollars since its independence. The aim of the study is to find out the relationship between foreign direct investments and Gross Domestic Product. The study proved the fact that foreign direct investment does significantly positively affect Gross Domestic Product in Kazakhstan. Thus, we can make a practical conclusion that these results can be helpful as a base for the new researches as well as for the practical implementation and potential government’ use in Kazakhstan. The further research may employ such variables as exchange rate, inflation rate. Some new methods can be employed such as Ordinary Least Squares. Practically, policy makers should take into consideration the fact that foreign direct investment positively and significantly affects Gross Domestic Product.

During the study, it was found out that deposits of Kazakhstani banks affect Capital to Assets ratio positively and loans vice versa affect Capital to Assets ratio negatively. The monthly data was taken for the period of time since 2006 till 2010 years. An increase in loans decreases capital to Assets ratio and an increase in deposits increases capital to assets ratio. Also, there is no strong correlation among macroeconomic variable and banks' performance. One percentage change in macroeconomic variable gives five percentage change in Assets to GDP variable. Macroeconomic variables tested include GDP, CPI and IPI. The limitation of the research is that the data includes only ten banks and the period of time is from August

Being competitive enough, they promote themselves by proper advertising campaigns. This paper is devoted to the issue of advertising campaign and explores whether or not it significantly affects profitability in the banking industry of Kazakhstan. Net incomes of the twenty largest banks in Kazakhstan are studied for the period of 2005 until 2012 consisting of 32 quarterly observations. Unit root test was employed to check marketing expenses, earnings before interest and taxes and net income. Regression analysis was conducted using marketing expenses from previous period and current profitability. Income was measured by Earnings Before Interest and Tax and Net Income of the largest twenty banks of Kazakhstan. Marketing expenses of previous periods were analyzed as well. Key words : Marketing, profitability, banking sector, regression analysis Jel Codes: G20, C30, M31

With this aim, the data between 2000 and 2017 was used. This data was obtained from Bloomberg. The data includes Index KASE, RTS Index, FTSE Index and oil price. In order to find out the dependence between oil price and indexes of United Kingdom, Russian Federation and Kazakhstan (FTSE 100 index, RTS index and index KASE respectively) it was necessary to collect the data first of all. For the analysis it was decided to choose, as variables, the prices and trade volumes of chosen instruments. As it was mentioned previously, I looked through the 17-year period starting from January 1 st , 2000 lasting January 1 st , 2018. Monthly data was retrieved from Bloomberg. The purpose of the empirical analysis is to determine what kind of relationship, if any, exists between oil price and such stock indices as KASE Index, RTS Index and FTSE Index. This study investigates the interaction between the oil price and three indices. Quite an interesting fact is that there are no any significant relationships between oil price and indexes studied. Among all indices studied, Index KASE is the most dependent on oil prices. The least dependent index is FTSE index. It is important to understand that every country has its own research environment and special features, which also could be researched independently. Taking into consideration the importance of oil export earnings to the growth profile of the Kazakhstani economy, higher oil export revenues would result in the growth of Index KASE. Majority of companies listed in Kazakhstani index are export oriented. Thus, the study can serve as a promising avenue for further research. For example, for Kazakhstan, some new research indicators can be added, such as weight of export and import.

This study explores the connection between oil price, stock prices, and exchange rate in Kazakhst... more This study explores the connection between oil price, stock prices, and exchange rate in Kazakhstan employing a monthly data from October 2007 to December 2017. Time series data were collected from National Bank of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, and Energy Information Administration. Both bivariate and multivariate cases were employed. At the same time, the Johansen and Juselius cointegration procedures were employed in the study. The analysis was conducted for bivariate as well as multivariate cases. Empirical tests demonstrate that all the series are nonstationary in levels but stationary in differences. Results of this analysis do not find long-run correlation between the variables in a bivariate model, however, detect one in a multivariable model. Results demonstrate that stock prices and exchange rate are affected by oil price in Kazakhstan based on Granger causality test. Our findings imply that policy wise, monetary authorities in Kazakhstan in attaining their exchang...

The specific objective of this study is to investigate whether the causality direction between financial depth and economic growth in Kazakhstan does in fact apply. With this aim, the data from 20 banks operating between 2006 and 2015 was used. This data was obtained from the National Bank of Kazakhstan Statistical Bulletin. Quarterly observations are collected in aggregate form during 1Q 2006 – 4Q 2015 for GDP in level and stock market index value, and individual observations from the 20 largest banks during 1Q 2006 – 4Q 2015 for total lending volume in level in percent point, and total deposit volume in level. These quarterly data are employed in the panel study framework. The results of the study show that banks’ lending significantly strongly affects economic growth in Kazakhstan. At the same time, GDP also significantly strongly affects banks’ lending. Therefore, t...

This paper investigates the relationship between bank profitability and macroeconomic conditions.... more This paper investigates the relationship between bank profitability and macroeconomic conditions. Such indicators as Return on Asset (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE) are analyzed with such macroeconomic indicators as Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Customer Price Index (CPI), and IPI (Industrial Production Index). As the economy goes into a downturn, businesses and consumers default on loans, thus causing bank profits to decline. Alternatively, during economic expansions, lenders tend to take increasingly more risky loans and thus create a situation in which defaults increases. The banking industry is financial services industry, which follows economic needs. The results confirm the fact that banks’ performance depend on macroeconomic conditions.

It is noteworthy that Ghana is well endowed with rich natural resources comprising Gold, Oil, Timber, Cocoa, Bauxite, manganese etc. which form the backbone of its economy and dominates the main sources of foreign exchange(Budget statement, 2004).The low foreign exchange earnings on its export product as a result of its primary state compels it to expostulate to international financial and technical assistance at well as making giant strides to attract Foreign Direct Investment inflows to Ghana to supplement its locally generated revenue. This study explores whether FDI inflows have had any significant impact on GDP growth rate, the results indicate that FDI inflows have had an influence on GDP growth, it is however important to note that there are other important macroeconomic variables which need to be considered.
