Its aim is to put across the complementary nature of culture and creativity. Practices within the setting of a culture greatly affect the caliber of person an individual will be, since those practices shape the experiences from which he/she can draw knowledge to feed his/her creative potential. The study also points out that Creativity, a feature of behaviour that reflects uniqueness, experimentation and a spirit of exploration, goes beyond the realms of the arts and literature into every field of endeavour. ModifYing one's Culture (the human behaviour one acquires or learns in a specific setting) and avoiding conformity in the strictest sense can enhance creativity.

The study aimed to identify the adequacy and effectiveness of the Guidance and counselling services offered prisoners in Kumasi Central Prison, Ghana. Qualitative research method was primarily used to obtain data. The investigation revealed that the major setback in the Guidance and Counselling section of the Ghana Prisons is the lack of competent and adequate professional counsellors in the prison. Further findings indicated that there are no separate offices for the counsellors, neither are there counselling rooms, thus there is no privacy during counselling sessions. Besides, the prison is overcrowded making it very difficult for counsellors to meet counselling demands of inmates. The government should resource the Prison Service to attract qualified youth to reduce the problem of recidivism.

This study, a mixed method research, looked into the use of drawings in mathematics teaching in improving 62 pupils' performance at the Ayigya M/A Primary School A, where performance of pupils in mathematics is low. Observation, interviews, achievement test and pictorial likert scale were used to examine relationships between discovery learning and mathematics performance. Pupil performance was obtained by analysing the continuous assessment cards from the previous year. Pre-and post test assessments were administered to measure improvement in pupil performance. Data analysis revealed that drawing activities significantly improved pupil performance in mathematics. The interventions employed also heightened pupils' interest in the learning of mathematics. Theory in the literature attests to the fact that the arts are very useful to education by establishing a relationship between thinking and the material with which teachers and their students work. This knowledge can be capitalized by professionals in curriculum research and development.

It is an undeniable fact that Art has been used in several ways and for several purposes to benefit human societies. One of such benefits is its usage in therapeutic practices. The use of indigenous arts in the life and profession of traditional therapists of Asante, Ghana has been in existence for so many years since arts play a key role in Asante culture. This publication therefore aims at finding the symbolic significance of Asante’s indigenous arts in the therapeutic practices of traditional therapists of Asante of Ghana, and subsequent projection of this unique cultural heritage. Descriptive research method based on the qualitative design approach was employed. It was discovered that explanations of the causes of ill health given by the traditional therapists of Asante, Ghana in traditional therapy are usually based on what the society has developed and appears to it as a reasonable concept in explaining its therapy and the causes of ill health.. It is recommended that the health services in Ghana need much more of a team approach with greater co-operation between the hospitals and public health services, as well as joint planning with the agriculture and nutrition services, town planning and local government authorities. It is on this team that the traditional therapist might find a place.

It explored the use of non-traditional modelling material (corn shucks and cobs) in the preparation of diorama. The results of the study indicate that corn shucks and cobs which have less use in our environment as raw materials can be used as modelling medium to produce sculpture. As such other unconventional materials could be explored for modelling in order to open more avenues to sculptors. Besides, diorama could be a minimuseum, a potent tool to keep proper records, document valuable cultural and historic information to inspire and educate the public; as well as a way of building museums on school campuses to expand classroom teaching and learning.

Descriptive analysis used, drew on a range of children's art works to provide fresh hypothetical insight into the possibility of using child art as a motif for developing fashionable designed fabric prints. The key findings are that children's developed works of art are innovative and dynamic, give them a sense of joy and identity that develops into relevance when processed into children's fashionable wear. The paper also acknowledges that creativity makes use of the traditional and the conventional methods for developing textile motifs, a promising source of creativeness that has the potential to overwhelm the field of design for children's fashionable wears. Since Art culture is an integral part of every human being, this paper seeks to advocate that textile design experts must engage and elicit children's perspectives and experiences through art

It thus explored the content of the participants' drawings, what they wrote about their works and what each had to say about the work. Some comments from peers concerning the students were also noted. Data analysis revealed that drawings can portray what is active on a person's mind in terms of emotions such as happiness, sadness, frustration, love, and loneliness that is in no way related to the classroom happenings. From literature, it was established that art reveals emotion, and that learning is most effective when it links with positive emotional experience. It is suggested that effectiveness of teaching and learning could be enhanced with teachers' knowledge of the use of Art to release the pent-up emotions of students as often as possible.

Observation and in-depth interviews were used to examine links between art and emotion. Parents' views about art lessons were investigated also. The aim of this article is to transmit what we found out about the value of art for enhancing these children's learning. The data analysis revealed that art facilitated expression of emotion and experience. Theory in the literature suggests that learning is most effective when it links with emotional experience; thus, we put forward an argument for effective learning in the context of art lessons. Art can also be used as a form of therapy or preventive medicine to contribute to children's psychological well-being and subsequently prepare them for learning.
