In this paper our objective is to bring forth a comparison based upon the considerations like average accuracy, precision and recall between algorithms according to threshold values, character recognition. The system thus formulated captures real-time input image. It identifies the license plate from extracted image. The work presented in this paper mainly focuses on classification and recognition of characters using Viola Jones Machine learning algorithm. LPR is the most interesting and challenging area of research due to its importance to a wide range of commercial applications, ranging from automated payment services (e.g. Parking and toll roads payment collection), traffic related applications such as road traffic monitoring, searching of stolen vehicles, airport gate monitoring, speed monitoring for more critical applications, to border crossing security and traffic surveillance systems.

Clinical presentation is also distinct between children and adults. In adults, manifestation is usually hematuria and abdominal pain while paediatric cases frequently present with an asymptomatic abdominal lump. It is arduous to demarcate adult Wilms’ tumour from renal cell carcinoma based on radiology alone. The final diagnosis in adult cases is often fortuitous following radical nephrectomy for presumed adult Renal cell carcinoma (RCC). Due to the lack of published discussion, there are no standard protocols for the management of adult Wilms tumour (WT) hence it is managed as per paediatric WT. In view of this, we report a case of adult WT in a 32-years-old female, who was diagnosed propitiously following right radical nephrectomy for an assumed right renal mass.

EMC is most commonly reported in the parotid gland followed by other major and minor salivary glands. EMC of the tongue is an extremely uncommon tumor, with only five previously published case reports. We herein report the sixth case of EMC of the tongue. A 40-year-old female who had throat pain, dysphagia, and right earache for 3 years showed a 4 cm × 4 cm nodular tumor at the base of her tongue. Histopathological and immunohistochemical features were diagnostic of EMC with cervical lymph node metastasis. The metastatic behavior of EMC of the tongue in the absence of myoepithelial anaplasia or high-grade histological features is unusual and reported in this case report for the first time.

This study describes the distribution, clinical and pathological details of various histopathological types of ovarian tumors in a tertiary care hospital in North India. MATERIALS AND METHODS: A retrospective data of 3 years were collected for ovarian tumors submitted to the pathology department of a tertiary care hospital. Data were classified according to the latest World Health Organization (WHO) Classification into epithelial tumors, germ cell tumors, sex cord–stromal tumors, and others. RESULTS: A total of 212 cases of ovarian tumors were studied, 186 were unilateral and 26 were bilateral. Resection specimen, part of specimen, and block review formed 80.2%, 15.1%, 4.7%, respectively. Epithelial tumors formed the majority in 71.7% of cases followed by germ cell tumors (22.2%), sex cord–stromal tumors (3.8%) and others (2.3%). Maximum number of cases in the respective groups occ...

Varying proportion of MTCs is associated with CCH in different studies. This could be due to the lack of uniformity of the definitions and techniques used to identify CCH in these studies. This study aims to study the occurrence, clinicopathological, and immunohistochemical features of CCH in MTC diagnosed during a 22-year period at a tertiary care center in North India and to review the available literature on CCH. Eighty-seven consecutive cases of MTC were included in the study. Histological evaluation for the presence of CCH and neoplastic CCH was performed. Confirmation of CCH was done by immunohistochemistry for calcitonin and chromogranin. The presence of neoplastic CCH was correlated with clinical factors and prognostic factors. Of 87 cases of MTC included in the study, 71 (82%) patients were sporadic and 16 (18%) had f...

We describe a rare case of synchronous HS in a patient of B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). A 16-year-old boy diagnosed as ALL also presented with a swelling over the right Achilles tendon. The cytological features of the swelling suggested a histiocytic lesion. Histological and immunohistochemical examination clinched the diagnosis of HS. The available 5-year follow-up showed no recurrence. It was a diagnostic dilemma on fine-needle aspiration. We discuss the cytological features of HS which can help in reaching a diagnosis and emphasize that it should be considered in the differential diagnosis for unexplained swellings in patients of hematological malignancies. Wide local excision of localized HS is associated with a long-term favorable outcome.

We describe two rare cases of primary MC involving two different visceral organs (1) a 24-year-old man with solid renal mass and, (2) a 42-year-old man with cystic splenic mass. The histological and immunophenotypical features of both lesions were classical of MC. Although this lesion is uncommon in visceral organs, the possibility of this rare entity must be kept in differential diagnosis with compatible morphology.

Topology control is one of the vital points which should be kept in mind while creating wireless sensor network for the purpose of creating energy efficient network without affecting the connectivity or other properties. This paper goes through various strategies carried out to obtain a better scheme for topology control in terms of energy so that the lifetime of node as well as the network lifetime is increased. Using these strategies we have given some of the practical implementations and results which provide the efficient WSN topology.

[1] Saffron contains three main pharmacologically active metabolites: Saffron-colored compounds are crocins, which are unusual water-soluble carotenoids (mono and diglycosyl esters of a polyene dicarboxylic acid, named crocetin). The digentiobiosyl ester of crocetin-α-crocin is the major component of saffron. Picrocrocin is the main substance responsible of the bitter taste in saffron. Safranal in the volatile oil is responsible for the characteristic saffron odor and aroma. Furthermore, saffron contains proteins, sugars, vitamins, flavonoids, amino acids, mineral matter, gums, and other chemical compounds. [1] Plant Material and Method The petals of Crocus sativus 'Cashmerianus' were collected from Pampore area of Kashmir (J&K, India). Crocus sativus 'Cashmerianus' was properly identified (Voucher specimen-KUCS03) by Dr. A
