We adopt here a two fluid model which takes into account also ion sound Larmor radius and electron inertia effects in the description of the reconnection process. In the past, it has been demonstrated in [Helander et al. Phys. Plasmas 14, 12, (2007)] that in the purely resistive regime the presence of runaway electrons in plasma has a significant effect on the saturated magnetic island width. In particular, runaway electrons generated during disruption can cause an increase of 50% in the saturated magnetic island width with respect to the case with no runaway electrons. These results were obtained adopting a periodic equilibrium magnetic field that limited the analysis to small size saturated magnetic islands. Here we present our results to overcome this limitation adopting a non-periodic Harris’ type equilibrium magnetic fi...

This may indicate average variation in plant growth over large urban landscape (community gardens, green corridor etc). Towards this direction, this short technical note explores development of a simple automated machine learning program that can accurately segregate colors from plant leaves. In this newly developed program, a machine learning algorithm has been modified and adapted to give the proportion of different colors present in a leaf. Python script is developed for an image processing. For validation, experiments are conducted in green house to grow Axonopus compressus. Script first extracts different RGB (Red Green and Blue) colors present in the leaf using the K-means clustering algorithm. Appropriate centroids required for the clusters of leaf colors are formed by the K-means al...

According to ninety-eight point-six AIDS were CD4-T lymphocytes. Sixty percent (60 percent) of dental students claimed that both care and treatment for AIDS were present. Thirty percent (30 percent) believed that AIDS care was available, while ten percent (10 percent) of dental students believed that AIDS treatment was present. Fifty percent (50 percent) of nursing students claimed that AIDS are present in both recovery and remedy. In our research, it was observed that HIV/AIDS awareness in developing countries such as India is deficient. Increased knowledge may contribute to a decrease in fear of caring for patients infected with HIV. There are studies measuring HIV/AIDS awareness and attitude among oral health care staff in North India, but so far no such res...

Composite materials are developed by integrating two distinct materials physically or chemically ... more Composite materials are developed by integrating two distinct materials physically or chemically which gives a desired set of properties which can be modified to accomplish the requirement for different applications [1]. In polymer composites (PCs), there is combination of continuous and non-continuous reinforcements/filler. Due to versatile processing technique and reduced synthesis cost of the polymer composites, they were introduced as a structural material with upgraded properties [2]. In the previous two decades, polymer composites have attained the spotlight from ordinary composites as a result of their potential differences. There is a very wide range of polymer composites and present research is precisely focussed on reduced graphene oxide-poly (methyl meth-acrylate) (rGO-PMMA) composites [3]. PMMA is a clear polymer having amorphous crystal structure with a glass transition temperature of ~100 °C. PMMA is used in many applications that demand high optical quality, requires a filler to increase strength and toughness without masking its optical properties [4]. When carbon atoms are arrayed in the hexagonal lattice after the sp 2 hybridization, an individual layer of graphene is procured [5]. A strong bonding force between the carbon atoms in graphene layer give rise to many eccentric properties like high electron mobility, high strength, high surface area, transparency and thermal conductivity [6]. Now-a-days, graphene has attracted enormous awareness in the domain of materials research as it provided numerous possibilities in emerging sectors of polymer composites. The well-known method of graphene production is to reduce Graphite Oxide (GO) to rGO [7]. This method is attractive due to its low-cost, high yield, dispersion properties of graphene in various solvents and high scalability

Regarding export performance, it shows a wide number of fluctuations and having a negligible contribution in the global market. Therefore, present study was undertaken to study the export scenario of Indian maize and trade direction among different trading countries by using Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) and Markov Chain Analysis. For this purpose, the secondary data has been collected from year 1992-93 to 2018-19 from official website of APEDA. The results of CAGR showed that positive and highly significant growth rate was observed in term of both the quantity as well as value of exported maize with the rate of 32.74 and 38.60 per cent per annum. During the study period it perceived wide number of oscillations in export performance depending upon the domestic demand supply gap and international price variations. The result of Markov analysis revealed that Nepal and Malaysia were the most stable importer of the Indian maize with probability of retention of 84.95 and 53.70 per cent, respectively. The Estimation of projected share for Indian maize export suggested increasing trade with Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia up to the year 2022-23. Thus, the study suggested increasing domestic output of maize crop for the promotion of trade in global market and engaged with more loyal countries for trading.

Fhb1 is the most important large effect and stable QTL for FHB resistance. A pore-forming toxin-like (PFT) gene was recently identified as an underlying gene for Fhb1 resistance. In this study, we developed and validated a PFTbased Kompetitive allele specific PCR (KASP) marker for Fhb1. The KASP marker, PFT_KASP, was used to screen 298 diverse wheat breeding lines and cultivars. The KASP clustering results were compared with gelbased gene specific markers and the widely used linked STS marker, UMN10. Eight disagreements were found between PFT_KASP and UMN10 assays among the tested lines. Based on the genotyping and sequencing of genes in the Fhb1 region, these genotypes were found to be common with a previously characterized susceptible haplotype. Therefore, our results indicate that PFT_ KASP is a perfect diagnostic marker for Fhb1 and would be a valuable tool for introgression and pyramiding of FHB resistance in wheat cultivars.

Morphology and particle size of 1N was determined by SEM and zeta-sizer. Single crystal X-ray analysis performed for 1 revealed a monoclinic C2/c space group. The crystal structure is built from layers-like regions of cations and anion-water that are connected via N-H...O hydrogen bonds. The nano-sized 2[Co(NH3)5N3](H2I2O10)∙2H2O] complex salt was examined towards the dye ability of cotton, wool and silk fabrics. A good variation in the color demonstrates that 1N can be used as a pigment for printing as well as a mordant dye.

The state of Punjab has one of the highest cropping intensity, irrigated area and exhaustive input use. The monoculture of wheat and paddy led to widening the gap of sustainable growth of agriculture over the time. It would lead to groundwater depletion, declining of water table level and over-exploitation of tube wells and submersible pump. The present study was conducted to examine the sustainability of agriculture system in Punjab. It was found that there is need of proper utilization of available scares water resources or use of organic sources that is, farmyard manure, compost, and green manure in order to reduce the problem of groundwater depletion or impact of chemical fertilizers on soil fertility. The results revealed that there is a need to practice crop management measures, that is, crop rotation which should help in controlling field from pest and disease. The farm management approach like appropriate cropping pattern, packages of advanced farm technology etc. and agronomic management approach like bi-directional sowing, intercropping, minimum tillage, etc. should be encouraged. It will not only help in sustaining and stabilizing the production but also increases the profitability of crops.

Th... more Energy efficiency in commercial and residential buildings has gained momentum in recent years. This has focused to develop more efficient and reliable techniques for demand-side management (DSM) which is one of the important functions of a smart grid system nowadays. This is because DSM helps the customers to manage their energy consumption wisely and allows reducing their energy bills with no extra cost. In practice, DSM reduces peak load demand of power utilities by reshaping the load profile. Further, the reduction in energy consumption reduces the carbon emission level and it leads to an increase in the sustainability of smart grid. However, most of the traditional strategies employ specific system techniques & algorithms for load shifting based DSM techniques. The infrastructure of internet-based online energy management systems needs to be developed for the futuristic smart grid applications. This paper represents the review of different DSM techniques and the methodologies in terms of objectives, optimization functions, constraints and their future research scope.
