Substantial literature has brought out the positive and negative impacts of virtual schooling; for example, few of the positive effects are increase in social connections using the technology, helps in accessing resources and knowledge, children are more safer at home, etc. However, the negative impacts are more severe, particularly, on the health of the children participating online classes through electronic devices. As the children spend most of their active time indoors and watching the small, lighted screen the children are prone to physical and mental health issues. In this context, this study attempts to explore the physical & mental health issues, social behavioural problems, and learning issues of children participated online classes. Materials and Methods: In this exploratory study, cross-sectional survey method and quantitative analytical process were applied. Data were collected from 200 children in the age group of 6 to 18 years both male and female and urban and rural locations, who participated the online classes. A structured closed-end selfreporting questionnaire was used. Results: This study established the negative effect on physical health, mental health, and learning & participation issues of children of online virtual schooling. Findings confirmed the significant and positive relationship between the screen time and the various issues experienced by the children. Gender, age, and location type differences were indicated.

Traditionally, men and women had well-defined roles without much overlapping or trespassing- mostly women were confined to home – their primary was "mother" and "care-taker". But, women"s rights, education, and gender equality has changed the scenario. Pursuance of quality life, better living standard, cost of living has compelled women to become economic contributors of the home. However, not much significant changes have been observed in gender roles. The question is whether women are satisfied about their role as mother or care-taker. The objective of the study is to explore the difference in the perceived satisfaction in fulfilling the role as a mother and satisfaction in life between working mothers and non-working mothers.

Data was collected from a total of 1,305 teachers in Tamil Nadu state. Results showed that male teachers mostly read newspapers and female teachers preferred reading magazines and novel/fictions. English was the preferred language for male and Tamil for female teachers. Attitude towards reading was positively and significantly correlated with time spent for reading. Average time spent for reading by female teachers per day was significantly less (1.1 ± .6885 hrs.) compared to male teachers (1.893 ± 1.1218 hrs.). Stepwise regression revealed a best fitting model with four predictor variables, they were: Attitude towards teaching (44.49%), Teaching experience (14.21%), Time spent for reading (32.83%) and Attitude towards reading (34.93%), which combined together explained about 69.1 per cent of variations of Te...

The book describes five key factors to ensure good governance viz. (i) Accountability, (ii) Organizational Capacity, (iii) Transparency, (iv) Participatory Approach and (v) Impact Monitoring.Greater emphasis and attention is being paid to effective human resource management, as recruiting and retaining well-talented and motivated staffs has become an impediment in NGO sector, due to attractive terms and scope for career development offered in other sectors.
