The patient had presented 10 months earlier with the first episode of passing bloody stools. A Meckel's diverticulum was resected during surgery. Reasons for the original false-negative examination are presented.

Everyone in the village has a part to play in raising a child. Raising a child is a caring partnership. There are the parents, immediate and extended family who nurture the growing child. Other adults and children make their contributions too. Together, they raise a child.

An elementary generalization of this idea is Ore's Theorem which gives a necessary and sufficient condition that a ring, not necessarily commutative and not necessarily a domain of integrity, can be extended to a ring of "fractions." The purpose of this thesis is to analyze another proof of Ore's Theorem which involves a bare minimum of technique using the method of maximal extensions of semi-endomorphisms defined on a certain class of right ideals, i.e., given a ring with Ore's Condition we will construct the classical ring of right quotients

Primary infection of varicella, often called chickenpox, results in a generalized eruption of a vesicular exanthematous rash which is usually seen in children and is highly contagious. This virus (VZV) can then become latent and later reactivate causing herpes zoster, commonly known as shingles. Shingles is usually a localized phenomenon often seen in adults and is usually less contagious. The following is a discussion of infection control questions most commonly asked regarding the care of a patient with shingles.
