This study evaluates the relationship between person-oriented leadership and employee outcomes. P... more This study evaluates the relationship between person-oriented leadership and employee outcomes. Person-oriented leadership requires leaders to build and maintain their relation with the employees. In order to accomplish organizational goals, the leader need to understand that having a strong bond with the employee is important. Therefore this research focuses on the effect of person-oriented leadership on employee outcome. The data collection was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 200 employees in different divisions and departments at a public research university in Malaysia. The result of the SmartPLS path analysis model displayed four findings: first, participative leadership style was significantly associated with job satisfaction. Second, consultative leadership style was significantly associated with job satisfaction. Third, participative leadership style was significantly associated with organizational commitment. Fourth, consultative leadership style was significantly associated with organizational commitment. These findings demonstrate that it is important for leaders to implement participative and consultative leadership style during their day-today job operations, in order to ensure job satisfaction and organizational commitment of employees in organization.

Rapid economic development and aging population have considerably increased the demand of high-quality employees' performance to fulfill organizations' needs. Studies have revealed that dissatisfaction with the fairness of distribution such as pay scales, rewards and benefits provided by the organization causes employees to lose motivation to perform work with full commitment. Thus, this study was conducted to examine the role of job satisfaction as a mediating variable between distributive justice and organizational commitment. This study used a cross-sectional study method to collect data. Primary data were obtained through a questionnaire completed by 114 public servants of government agencies in Peninsular Malaysia. The data obtained were analyzed using SmartPLS 3.3 software to test the research hypotheses. The results of SmartPLS path model analysis showed three significant findings: first, distributive justice has a significant relationship with job satisfaction. Second, distributive justice has a significant relationship with organizational commitment. Third, job satisfaction acts as a mediating variable between organizational fairness and organizational commitment. The implications of the study and discussion are described further.

In the era of 4 th industrial revolution, good governance practise has become an important organi... more In the era of 4 th industrial revolution, good governance practise has become an important organizational management and administration practice for achieving organizational function and objectives especially in zakat institution. Nowadays, zakat institution became as a central role in many aspects of human life especially among Muslim communities, also function in maintaining the existence and growth of socioeconomic. Due to this reason, good governance with the vital elements of leadership and communication are an important element that may affect service quality performance in organization. The capability of employees to appropriately manage leadership and communication practice may lead to a greater level of quality performance towards customers. This research aims to measure the correlation between good governance practice through leadership, communication, and service quality in zakat institution. A cross-sectional technique was employed to collect primary data from 250 respondents who were customer at the zakat institution in Klang Valley. The Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) was used in data analyses. The outcomes displayed two important findings: First, the relationship between leadership practice and service quality performance was significant. Second, the relationship between communication practice and service quality performance was significant. Statistically, this result confirms that service quality performance directly enhanced by good governance practice through leadership and communication in studied organization. Further, this research concludes with a discussion on the contributions, limitation. For future research may focus on other elements of construct such as integrity practice to enhance service quality in zakat institution.

A survey method was utilized to collect data from employees at a national election agency in Peninsular Malaysia. The SmartPLS was used to analyze the data and revealed two significant findings: First, relationship between supportive leadership style and organizational attachment was significantly correlated with encouragement to perform work. Second, relationship between participative leadership style and organizational attachment was significantly correlated with encouragement to perform work. The findings endorse that effect of human-oriented leadership on encouragement to perform work is mediated by organizational attachment. The data were collected through a survey method conducted on employees at a government agency in East Malaysia. The outcomes of SmartPLS path model analysis show three important findings. First, administrators’ roles in training programs are significantly related to trainees’ motivation. Second, provision of support is significantly linked to the motivation of the trainees. Third, communication is significantly related to the motivation level of the trainees. Thus, the findings indicate that administrators’ roles, support, and communication act as significant determinants of trainees’ motivation in an organizational sample.

It consists of two major components: benevolent climate and principled climate. Recent studies in this field highlight that the ability of employees to appropriately implement such ethical climates may have a significant impact on organizational commitment. Although many studies have been done, the role of ethical climate as an important determinant is little discussed in the organization ethic research literature. Therefore, this study is undertaken to examine the relationship between ethical climate and organizational commitment. A survey method was used to gather data from employees at public agencies in Peninsular Malaysia. This study investigates the relationship between human-oriented leadership, organizational attach... more This study investigates the relationship between human-oriented leadership, organizational attachment and encouragement to perform work. A survey method was utilized to collect data from employees at a national election agency in Peninsular Malaysia. The SmartPLS was used to analyze the data and revealed two significant findings: First, relationship between supportive leadership style and organizational attachment was significantly correlated with encouragement to perform work. Second, relationship between participative leadership style and organizational attachment was significantly correlated with encouragement to perform work. The findings endorse that effect of human-oriented leadership on encouragement to perform work is mediated by organizational attachment. Further discussions, implications and conclusion are presented in this study.
This research was conducted to assess the relationship between the role of administrators in trai... more This research was conducted to assess the relationship between the role of administrators in training programs and the motivation level of the trainees. The data were collected through a survey method conducted on employees at a government agency in East Malaysia. The outcomes of SmartPLS path model analysis show three important findings. First, administrators’ roles in training programs are significantly related to trainees’ motivation. Second, provision of support is significantly linked to the motivation of the trainees. Third, communication is significantly related to the motivation level of the trainees. Thus, the findings indicate that administrators’ roles, support, and communication act as significant determinants of trainees’ motivation in an organizational sample.

It consists of two major components: benevolent climate and principled climate. Recent studies in this field highlight that the ability of employees to appropriately implement such ethical climates may have a significant impact on organizational commitment. Although many studies have been done, the role of ethical climate as an important determinant is little discussed in the organization ethic research literature. Therefore, this study is undertaken to examine the relationship between ethical climate and organizational commitment. A survey method was used to gather data from employees at public agencies in Peninsular Malaysia. The outcomes of the SmartPLS path model analysis showed two important findings: firstly, the benevolent climate was positively and significantly related to organizational commitment. Secondly, the principled climate was positively and significantly related to organizational commitment. This study offers discussions, implications, and suggestions for further research. Contribution/ Originality: The paper's primary contribution lies in the finding that an ethical climate is found as a major factor that enhances organizational commitment in the context of the Malaysian public sector. 1.
