Loạn sản xơ cốt hoá tiến triển (FOP- Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva)hay còn gọi là hội chứ... more Loạn sản xơ cốt hoá tiến triển (FOP- Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva)hay còn gọi là hội chứng “stone man” là một bệnh lý di truyền của mô liên kết, rất hiếm gặp với đặc trưng là quá trình cốt hoá từ từ của mô liên kết, đặc biệt là gân, dây chằng và cơ. Bệnh ảnh hưởng rất lớn đến chức năng vận động, chất lượng cuộc sống của bệnh nhân, khi tiến triển đến giai đoạn nặng, bệnh có thể gây tử vong. Chúng tôi trình bày 2 ca bệnh FOP lần đầu tiên được báo cáo tại Việt Nam. 2 ca bệnh là trẻ 26 tháng và 4 tuổi cùng nhập viện Nhi Trung Ương năm 2020, các bệnh nhân có dấu hiệu bàn chân Hallux valgus đặc trưng của bệnh kèm theo biểu hiện cốt hóa cơ ở nhiều vị trí. Do lần đầu tiên được ghi nhận nên cả 2 trẻ đều trải qua sinh thiết cơ và cuối cùng chẩn đoán xác định nhờ tìm thấy đột biến gen ACVR1. Kết luận: FOP là bệnh lý rất hiếm gặp và gây di chứng nặng nề cho trẻ. Bệnh cần được phát hiện sớm, hạn chế can thiệp, tránh các đợt bùng phát bệnh, nâng cao chất lượng cuộc sống cho trẻ.

The objective of this study was to review the pharmacological effects of ginsenoside Rh1 in a systematic manner. We performed searches on eight electronic databases including MEDLINE (Pubmed), Scopus, Google Scholar, POPLINE, Global Health Library, Virtual Health Library, the System for Information on Grey Literature in Europe, and the New York Academy of Medicine Grey Literature Report to select the original research publications reporting the biological and pharmacological effects of ginsenoside Rh1 from in vitro and in vivo studies regardless of publication language and study design. Hydrological monitoring is considered as an effective tool to respond to high flood events by preventing and mitigating damages. The purpose of this study was to conduct and perform hydrological modeling to determine areas prone to be flooded during high rainfall events in the upstream Vu Gia watershed. The methodology involved: hydro-climatic data base building, a detailed Digital Elevation Model (DEM), a land use cover, and a soil map of the basin. With all this data, the SWAT model (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) was used to predict discharge values. These discharge values were used, along with the DEM, to predict flood hazard areas in the downstream of Vu Gia watershed floodplains. Environment quality, especially aquatic environment is increasingly being interested. This paper ... more Environment quality, especially aquatic environment is increasingly being interested. This paper presents the initial results of dissolved heavy metal of the monthly observations for the period from January to October 2012 at Yen Bai, Ha Noi, Hoa Binh and Vu Quang stations in the Red River system. The monitoring results showed that the heavy metal concentrations in the Red River water varied in a high range: Cu: 10-80 µg/l; Zn: 2-88 µg/l; Cr: 0.2-5.1 µg/l; Pb: 2-107 µg/l; Cd: : 2-12 µg/l; Mn: 2-35 µg/l; Fe: 160-950 µg/l. Most of the mean values of heavy metal contents at the four monitoring sites were lower than the ones of the Vietnamese standard limits for surface water quality, QCVN 08:2008/BTNMT. However, at several time during the observation period, the contents of some heavy metals such as Fe, Cd and Pb exceeded the Vietnamese standard limits. The results showed that the water quality of the Red River needs more be frequently and systhematically observed.

A wide class of sequences with useful properties for CDMA and cryptography application (the newly... more A wide class of sequences with useful properties for CDMA and cryptography application (the newly introduced d-form sequences included) can be found to have interleaved structure. Thanks to their time-multiplexed (interleaved) nature, the interleaved sequences can be conveniently represented by d-transform (sort of delay operation). Based on d-transform the algorithm for determining the shift sequence (interleaving order), and subsequences for any interleaved structure are presented. Furthermore, the procedures for autocorrelation function and linear span analysis are presented. It can also be seem that d-transform is very useful for designing and investigation of interleaved sequences.

Seaports or harbours are major hub of economic activities, connecting sea routes with the hinterl... more Seaports or harbours are major hub of economic activities, connecting sea routes with the hinterland via rail, road and inland waterway. At the same time, they are hubs of environmental issues, resulting from its diversified operations involving vessels, machines, vehicles and industries. The Black Sea Commission in 2007 pointed out that water pollution at the ports around Black Sea, including the ports of Bourgas and Varna, poses a great threat to the overall water quality of the Black Sea and the quality of the Mediterranean Sea. The two ports, and their facilities, are the black spots of pollution that need immediate intervention to safeguard the Black Sea. The first steps of an environmental management system were implemented at both ports. Environmental protection objectives are identified and initial actions are being implemented. However, assessment of the environmental performance of both ports based on concrete indicators was not done. Further efforts are needed to advance the environmental management system to contribute more to the protection of the Mediterranean and Black Sea region.

Hanoi is the capital city of Vietnam and the second largest city of the country, just behind Ho C... more Hanoi is the capital city of Vietnam and the second largest city of the country, just behind Ho Chi Minh City. During the last two decades, Hanoi developed fast and expanded steadily. Since the city acquired large parts of the surrounding provinces in 2008, Hanoi tripled its size and doubled its population. The new development aims to spread the concentrated population and economic activities to alleviate the stress caused by pollution and the decreasing quality of life of the residents. Hanoi has a very fast growing fleet of motor vehicles, at the rate of 12%-15% annually. The fast transition from bikes to motorcycles and to cars results in a most serious environmental burden in particular on the air quality and human health. This paper overviews the air quality and pollution caused by road traffic in central Hanoi (5 old districts) and the related health outcomes due to particulate matters (PM 10 and PM 2.5). It uses dose-response functions to quantify the number of extra deaths resulting from traffic-related particulate matters. The results are compared with those of other studies to assess the impacts of air pollution on human health in large, crowded and fast developing cities in Southeast Asia. Assessment of the health risk caused by traffic shows that mobility in Hanoi causes a high health burden. In 2009, mobility caused 3200 extra deaths by traffic related PM 10. The result shows that health impacts due to air pollution are by far larger than the number of fatalities due to traffic accidents.
