With the growing population and increasing pressure on resources the arguments about 'limits to growth' were raised. Warnings about the world's exhaustible resources such as forests, minerals, petroleum etc., and the need for regulating their exploitation to avert future crises, gave rise to conservationist movements. The environmental degradation, due to ruthless exploitation of natural resources for commercial gains, became a major area of concern. However, the initial concern was more about physical environment (air, water, land pollution and impact on heath etc.). in the early 70's the focus shifted from 'no-growth' in high consumption countries to more sustainable and environmentally sound development. In the Stockholm, U.N. Conference on the Human Environment, "population of poverty" became an important issue. Is poverty the only pollutant responsible for environmental degradation? It is acknowledged now that economic growth goes side by side with deteriorating conditions of work and living for sizable section of the poor, landless, rural migrant, urban slum dwellers etc… This is so because the growth process itself imposes new forms of deprivations, dislocations, exclusion and alienation from the productive resource base. The resource use and management is dictated by the demand of dominant sections, urban consumers, industries and export earnings. The basic contention of this study is that there are close links between forestry, agriculture, food production and water resource management system. However, the macro policies, relating to the management and use of these resources and compartmentalized approaches to agriculture, forestry, common resources and management of India's major river systems, have led to increasing marginalization of people from the poorer households and casualisation of labour. These processes have destroyed their life support systems and alienated them from their resource base without creating viable, alternative livelihood systems.

A number of well known qualities models are used to build quality software. Different researchers have proposed different software quality models to help measure the quality of software products. In our research, we are discussing the different software quality models and compare the software quality models with each other. Keywords—Software Quality Models, McCall model, FURPS model, ISO 9126 model. Objectives—To begin with there are some common objectives: The presence, or absence, of these attributes can be measured objectively. The degree to which each of these attributes is present reflects the overall quality of the software product. These attributes facilitate continuous improvement, allowing cause and effect analysis which maps to these attributes, or measure of the attribute.

The following day, the patient had acute respiratory failure, requiring mechanical ventilation, and eventually developed acute respiratory distress syndrome. Respiratory panel tested positive for influenza A. The patient's mental status progressively worsened to coma. Magnetic resonance imaging of the brain demonstrated relatively symmetrical bilateral T2 FLAIR abnormalities in the thalami, corpus callosum, pons, and cerebellum. Cerebrospinal fluid polymerase chain reaction was positive for influenza A. The patient was transitioned to high-dose oseltamivir and high-dose corticosteroids. Repeat magnetic resonance imaging demonstrated gross resolution of T2 FLAIR abnormalities. The patient's mental status continued to improve daily. At the time of discharge, 30 days after symptom onset, the patient was awake and following commands. Six months after hospitalization, the patient had successfully been able to return to her baseline function except for right homonymous quadrantanopia and some mild residual left upper extremity weakness.

It marked the beginning of a journey that was both rewarding and challenging as it explored the nation-building process and the dynamics of women's status within a diverse, plural, hierarchic society in transition. Forcing a reconceptualisation of the discourse on women's issues, the landmark report has been described as a 'founding text', a watershed report and a historic benchmark by various scholars. It flagged off concerns such as the declining sex ratio in India's population, economic exclusion and marginalisation of women in agriculture and in the informal sector; negligible representation of women in elected bodies and social and economic barriers in attaining goals of gender equality (GOI, 1974). 1 The Report was a severe indictment of the first two decades of independent India's policy initiatives for promoting gender equality and gave relentless details of systemic discrimination and structural constraints

It works efficiently for oxidative C−C bond formation between N‐aryltetrahydroisoquinoline derivatives and a carbon nucleophile nitroalkane and acetone under aerobic conditions. This is the first report of CeO2 as a low temperature catalyst for the carbon‐carbon bond formation reaction between two sp3 C−H bonds.

Abstract Recent developments in feminist politics in India indicate growing concern with under-re... more Abstract Recent developments in feminist politics in India indicate growing concern with under-representation of women in elected and decision-making bodies, as well as with the view that some form of reservation or affirmative action is needed to redress existing gender imbalances. The understanding of affirmative action or, in the Indian case, reservation, includes notions such as equality of opportunity, social justice, positive or protective discrimination, compensatory discrimination, and so on. Arguments for reservation have been advanced because gender balanced representation is expected to alter development priorities, perspectives, and concerns. The current demand for parliamentary representation of women is built around several arguments and equal opportunity for participation in decision-making is one of them. Women's interests and priorities are said to be neglected in a male dominated parliament and their presence is expected to make a qualitative difference in increasing the empathy for their concerns. These arguments are countered by those who do not see women as a collectivity or who consider it is not only women who can best represent women's interests. Linking reservation questions to equal opportunity and social justice for women as a disadvantaged group has given rise to an inconclusive debate on the criteria for determining backwardness. Does it open the door to equal opportunity; does it realize social justice, and does it alter power relations? Many of these dilemmas apparent in the reservation debate have profound implications for political theory and practice and for the attempts by the women's movement to give a new meaning and dimension to the slogan “political empowerment of women.”

Changes in the economic and social participation of rural women are linked to the way the rural economy gets incorporated in national and international markets. The introduction of democratic decentralization policies have weakened the hold of traditional caste stratification on one hand and on the other hand have created power relation between haves and have-nots. This paper is based on the field work by the author in a green revolution district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Etawah. This field work explores the relationship between development activities and socio-economic changes and women’s access to information, resources and decision-making.

It’s a major challenge for new generation is to provide multimedia teleconferencing services. For this challenge there are special standards have recently populated for signaling and control for Internet teleconferencing. Here discussed on two standards: One is ITU Recommendation H.323, and the other is the IETF Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). Both signaling protocols are responsible for call setup and call tear down. Several comparisons of these two protocols have been published already, but their service architectures have been rarely addressed. This paper provides a unique architecture based on mechanism, with comparison of H.323 and SIP both protocol, and focusing on their service architectures. While architecture of both standards are quite similar. Here in this paper focused on considerable differences regarding their transferable and supplementary service. H.323 is still the more standard, smooth interworking with the PSTN and interoperability between different implementations. It has specific advantages for IP telephony applications. SIP has been designed with a broad scope, providing more generic syntax and semantics regarding feature definition and session description. A coexistence of both protocols can be foreseen, stressing the importance of interworking between them. This paper describes to all differences, properties and provides a unique architecture.

The majority of symptomatic patients undergo splenectomy, while a few receive first-line chemotherapy, especially with purine analogues. There are no specific treatment guidelines for patients for whom splenectomy fails to provide a cure. It is still unclear whether these patients should undergo cytotoxic chemotherapy, considering they have now a relapsed lymphoma (which is theoretically more aggressive), or whether they should be spared from treatments of greater toxicity, given that their disease usually develops with a more indolent course, even when it recurs. CASE REPORT: Here, we present two patients whose disease recurred after splenectomy and for whom rituximab monotherapy provided satisfactory treatment.
