The report will assess the management strategies of the Kerry Group and how the external economic conditions impact the company. A PEST analysis will be used to access the external economic conditions. The report will further assess the SWOT analysis of the Kerry Group to ascertain the management strategies for proper management of operating investment and financing decisions. This will aid in determining the impact on both cash flows and cost of capital of the Kerry Group.

It first discusses the theory that underpins decision making by top management in the organisation. It explains in detail how the three leadership styles, visionary, managerial and strategic impact decision making in an organisation. It is reported that some traits and characteristics influence decision making. The paper highlights the impact of attributes such as age, personality, experience, expertise, position in the organisation and propensity to risk will affect the leader’s ability to make decisions. It expands on characteristics discussed by other philosophers as influencing strategic choices such as marital status and gender. These are some of the modern theories on strategic leadership and decision making.

It... more This paper responds to assignment 1 in week 4 of the Business Functions and Procedures course. It required students to develop a business plan using a hypothetical small company of their choice. In this regard, I developed the following business plan using an imaginative FinTech with the aim of digitising the unbanked Savings Groups as a means to bring them into formal financial services. The business plan has seven focus areas as follows; business rationale, market research, industry analysis, marketing plan, investment and profitability (financial analysis), Investors, economic benefits and justification and a detailed action plan.

Overall, the report is prepared for the general use of investors and primarily details the corporate governance status and challenges of Pan African Resources Plc; the existing and projected capital investments; the sources of finance used for the financial year ended 30 June 2017; business performance with a bias towards investors’ ratios, commentary on the share performance in the stock exchange and recommendations based upon the findings of this report.
