Margaret Kenna
I am a retired social anthropologist. I taught at Swansea University for forty years, lecturing at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and covering a wide variety of topics. My fieldwork and research has mainly concerned the Cycladic island of Anafi and its migrants in Athens.

Sociologists, anthropologists, researchers in tourism studies, and other scholars have categorised tourists and travellers in many ways. This unpublished paper discusses the overlap between tourists, travellers and pilgrims and examines the idea of the search for "an authentic self"
