The concept of right is a fundamental one in law. It is also one of the basic concepts which jurisprudence concerns itself with and as many jurisprudential concepts go, there is no conclusive, all round definition of what the concept of rights. Different theories have been posited by various jurist and scholars all in a bid to highlight and break down the concept of right. In spite of these theories however, an all-embracing definition of what rights mean remains elusive.
