We know from the research literature that we must include the students, modify our speech, scaffold accordingly, and build autonomy. From this inquiry, we plan to answer the question “How can we better support ELLs within the classroom?” More specifically, we want to take a close look at how to better support ELL students within the classroom while taking into account their needs in learning the English Language. Our students range from Kindergarten to second grade, or ages five to eight years old, providing us with a diverse range to explore different instructional methodologies and assessment approaches to enhance ELL student outcomes. Our data include a collection of students’ benchmarks and diagnostic assessments, work samples, photographs, anecdotal records and transcriptions of...

The final sale value can be estimated, and also the marginal prices of each exogenous explanatory variable. A good alternative to the hedonic approach is based on several Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques, such as artificial neural networks (ANN), these tend to be more precise. Both methodologies are compared, and a case study is developed using data from Seville, the larger town in the South of Spain.

However, whether frailty increases mortality risk in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) has been controversial. Therefore, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of the frailty measures and mortality outcomes in this setting. PubMed and EMBASE were searched until July 23, 2017 for studies evaluating the association between frailty measures and mortality in individuals who have undergone PCI. A total of 141 entries were retrieved from our search strategy. A total of 8 studies involving 2332 patients were included in the final meta-analysis (mean age: 69 years; 68% male, follow-up duration was 30 ± 28 months). Frailty was a significant predictor of all-cause mortality after PCI, with a hazard ratio (HR) of 2.97 [95% confidence interval (CI) 1.56-5.66, P = .001]. This was substantial heterogeneity present (I2: 79%). Subgroup analysis using the Fried score reduced I2 to 68% without altering...

Forty-one patients on long-term anticoagulation with acenocumarol without previous experience in self-monitoring participated to obtain 218 pairs of data. Several methods for comparative statistics were applied to assess the possible disagreements between techniques as well as a range of previously published criteria of clinical agreement and the very recently described error-grid for INR comparison that we partially modify. The mean age was 52.1 and the indications for oral anticoagulation were prosthetic valves (36.59%), atrial fibrillation (34.15%), venous thromboembolic disease (21.95%) and others (7.31%) with a target range of 2–3 INR units (63.4%) or 2.5–3.5 (36.6%). Analyzing the whole series of data, the Pearsons ρ correlation coefficient for precision between methods was 0.95 and the Cb bias correction factor for accuracy 0.99 wit...

Unlike classical benzodiazepines, it had no anticonvulsant, anxiolytic, myorelaxant, sedative, amnestic or motor incoordination effects. However, it antagonized the muscle relaxant, the sedative effect, and the changes in locomotor activity induced by diazepam. Taken together, these findings suggest that 6-methyl-3-bromoflavone has an antagonistic profile on the BDZ-bs.
