Some studies suggest that exercise and other physical activities with children with ASD may be beneficial. In this study, we hypothesized that a physical exercise program (48-week exercise-intervention) could improve symptomatology dyad among children and adolescents with ASD. Our main aim was to examine the effects of physical activity on the primary clinical symptoms and associated comorbidities in children and adolescents with ASD.MethodsWe allocated 229 children with ASD, ranging in age from 2.3–17.3 years (M = 7.8, SD = 3.2), into three groups: (a) exercise- intervention group, (b) control group from the same institution, and (c) control group from another institution. The exercise program was performed at moderate intensity in a 30 min section twice a week for 48 weeks. We used Bayesian multilevel regression modeling ...

Burnout Syndrome (SB) is a mental health problem with a high social impact. The objective was to synthesize evidence from studies on the effectiveness of physical exercise interv...

Rationale: The flow state has been configured as an important flooring condition in the search for the best performance. However, there is an absence of systematizations about the flow state specifically in invasive team sports and its impact on performance. Therefore, it is relevant to qualify the types of studies conducted, their main correlations and causalities, as well as their main evidence and limitations. Condition being studied: The flow in invasion team sports and its impact on the Elite athletes performance.

Objective: To analyze the effects of 28-weeks of two different exercise protocols on the functional fitness and immune profiles of institutionalized pre-frail and frail women with mild cognitive impairment. Methods: Participants residing in care homes (n=60, 81±7.84 years old) were randomized into three groups: a chair elastic band muscle-strength exercise (CSE, n=21; 81±4.79), a chair multimodal exercise (CME, n=20; 80±8.19), and a control non-exercise (CGne, n=19; 80±10.01). Both CME and CSE groups performed progressive circuit-training exercise sessions. The controls did not change their usual lifestyle. The Fried protocol and the Mini-Mental State Examination questionnaire were used to identify the frail subgroups and the participants with mild cognitive impairment. Data for anti and pro-inflammatory markers and phy...

Seventy six teachers from Physical Education undergraduate courses from six Higher Education institutions from Alagoas State, Brazil, were used. The psychometric properties were analyzed based on the r product moment Pearson´s (test-retest), the Cronbach's Alpha coefficients and the exploratory factor analysis values (with Varimax rotation). The results revealed an overall structure with two factors that explain 55.28% of the total variance. It was concluded that the version of validation can be used in university teachers of physical education courses in Brazil. Keywords: Attitudes. Physical Education. Higher Education. Inclusion.

Recent studies have associated specific effects of this trait and its subfactors with hypothalamo-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis markers during stress. The aim of this study was to analyze the association between alexithymia and its subfactors with HPA and sympatho-adrenal medullar (SAM) activity. Stress was induced experimentally using a public-speaking paradigm. Salivary cortisol, alpha-amylase (AA), chromogranin A (CgA) and heart rate (HR) were collected during the defined periods of baseline, stress, and recovery in 19 males and 24 female healthy university students. Subjects reacted to the stressor with a significant cortisol and SAM response. Subjects scoring high on alexithymia reacted significantly more intensely than low scorers in basal anticipatory as well as peak cortisol and area under the curve. Regression analyses revealed that the increa...
