This custom was generally accepted by all stakeholders in the education system. Over the years, this practice has been disputed by most legal ministries, employers, and parents who view it as harsh and inhumane. This paper examines the relevance of corporal punishment in secondary schools in Kenya. The paper focuses on the role of corporal punishment in the process of instilling positive values and eradicating vicious personality development among learners. The development of initiating in modern education has the potential of initiating generating and facilitating the design and administration of the desired creativity and innovations as the software for conducting sustainable development in modern world. Generally, the design and development of Technology in modern education is appropriate in institutions of Higher learning since it is a highly technical process. This is the most appropriate level of designing and administering Technology in the management of modern education because, at this level of education, both the teachers and learners are subjected to critical thinking, concept formation and creative operating in management of education, Hence, Higher education is a bastion and / or epitome of developing, adopting and developing, adopting and embracing Technology for conducting sustainable development in Modern world. Therefore, this paper is designed to discuss four aspects of modern Technology in the management of education today. The four aspects are the nature of Technology needed for initiating development in modern world and especially Africa, the importance of the designed ,developed, adopted and embraced Technology to facilitate the envisage development in modern world; the challenges of designing developing, adopting and embracing the appropriate Technology in Modern Higher education to accelerate development in modern world and the preferred strategies needed to design, develop, adopt and ambiance the right type.
