Hal tersebut dilihat berdasarkan skor rata-rata keterampilan mengonstruksi debat sebesar 69,38. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk (1) mendeskripsikan penerapan model discovery learning dalam pembelajaran debat pada siswa kelas X-MIPA-1 SMAN 7 Malang, dan (2) mendeskripsikan hasil pembelajaran debat melalui model discovery learning pada siswa kelas X SMAN 7 Malang. Desain penelitian ini, yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas. Data keterampilan mengonstruksi siswa diperoleh dari hasil tes praktik, sedangkan data perubahan sikap selama pembelajaran diperoleh dari wawancara, observasi, jurnal, dan angket. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-MIPA 1 SMAN 7 Malang yang berjumlah 34 orang. Permasalahan mengonstruksi debat pada kelas X-MIPA 1, yaitu (1) budaya membaca siswa masih rendah, (2)siswa kurang update tentang informasi-informasi terbaru, dan (3)pemilihan model pembelajaran yang kurang sesuai dengan materi pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan mengonstruksi debat sebagai berikut, rata-rata skor prasiklus sebesar 69,38, siklus I skor rata-rata kelas 72,85, dan siklus II skor rata-rata kelas 82,35. Perilaku siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran mengalami perubahan ke arah yang lebih positif. Berdasarkan hasil tes praktik dan perubahan perilaku siswa maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model discovery learning dapat meningkatkan keterampilan mengonstruksi debat Kata Kunci: model discovery learning, mengonstruksi, debat

This research is a classroom action research consisting of discontinued cycles if 85% of student fulfill the minimum learning-outcome criteria 75. The subject of this research are 34 students of class X MIPA 2 SMAN 7 Malang. The data is a description process of using Quantum teaching and student's learning outcomes to construct debate. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, documentation, and interview. The results showed that the learning process of students has increased after using Quantum teaching. The results of tests showed that the student's skill has increased 10,12 poins from 71.76 to 81,88 or 14,10% with the percentage of completeness 91%. The improvement results were also followed by the change of students behaviour, the students looks more enthusiastic, active and confident.

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of constructing debates of class X stude... more This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of constructing debates of class X students at SMA Negeri 7 Malang. It was seen based on the average score of the skill to construct the debate at 69.38. The purpose of this study was to improve the skills of constructing such a low debate. The research design was classroom action research. Data on constructing students' skills was obtained from the results of practical tests, while data on attitude changes during learning were obtained from interviews, observations, journals, and questionnaires. The subjects of this research were 34 students of class X-MIPA 1, SMA Negeri 7 Malang. The problem of constructing debates in the X-MIPA 1 class, namely (1) the culture of reading students was still low, (2) students were not updated enough about the latest information, and (3) the selection of learning models that were not in accordance with the learning material. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang dilakukan di kelas X MIPA 2 SMAN 7 Malang. Data penelitian ini adalah gagasan utama dan gagasan penjelas yang dituliskan siswa pada kartu observasi. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan terhadap karakteristik bahasa dan hubungan antara gagasan utama dan gagasan penjelas yang disusun siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para siswa mampu menyusun gagasan utama dan gagasan penjelas yang saling berhubungan.
