Observed variables were incubation period, disease incidence, and variation symptom. The research results showed that virus isolates could be mechanically transmitted to melon plant (Cucumismelo) but showing no external symptoms while on tomato (Solanum lycopersicum), long-beans (Vigna sinensis), tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum and Nicotiana benthamiana), swamp-land (Ipomoea reptana), red-amaranth (Alternantheraamoena), chili (Capsicum annum), and egg plant (Solanum melongena) so far the existence of the Potyvirus could not be detected after mechanically inoculated.

Mosaic disease caused by Soybean mosaic virus (SMV) is considered as important disease. The purpose of this study was to determine the incidence of mosaic diseases, to detect SMV and to identify potential insect vectors. Field survey were conducted in several soybean production areas including Konawe, South Konawe and Kolaka. Virus detection was carried out by serological techniques using DAS-ELISA. Based on symptom observation, mosaic disease was found in all locations with incidence ranged from 38.46 to 64.00%. Variation of mosaic symptoms were recorded, involving yellow mosaic, mosaic with vein clearing, leaf cupping, curling, thickening and some chlorosis. According to DAS-ELISA, only 2.92 to 8.00% of field samples gave positive reaction to SMV antibody. This result indicated that other viruses might be associated with mosaic disease...

Plastic covered and coating with biokaolin can be used as techniques for the prevention of the diseases. The aim of the research was to evaluate several techniques to control cocoa pod disease in order to reduce disease incidence, disease severity and yield loss of 100 seeds cocoa. This research was conducted in the village of Tokai, District of Poli-Polia, East Kolaka Southeast Sulawesi, from April to August 2013. The research was conducted according completely Randomized Block Design (RBD) with five treatments and four groups in order to obtain 20 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 20 trees which each has five fruits so in total each unit consist of 100 fruit samples. The treatments tested were as follows; control (M0), biokaolin application every two weeks (M1), biokaolin application ...

It situates Leiva’s critique of neostructuralism against the wider backdrop of Latin America’s contradictory turn to the Left since the late 1990s, and compares the treatments of change in Latin-American capitalism over the course of the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries developed by the schools of classical structuralism, neostructuralism, and neoliberalism. The essay finds that Leiva’s critique of neostructuralism and his explanation for its influence on large segments of the region’s Left is the best work on the topic currently available in English. Leiva systematically demolishes neostructuralism’s claim to be a progressive alternative to neoliberalism. At the same time, it is argued that Leiva’s theoretical framework is compromised by its uncritical adoption of categories...

Aim: To evaluate the long-term effect of an ASP on antimicrobial consumption, expenditure, antimicrobial resistance and hospital mortality. To estimate the contribution of competitive biddings on cost-savings. Material and Methods: A comparison of periods prior (2005-2008) and posterior to ASP initiation (2009 and 2015) was done. An estimation of cost savings attributable to ASP and to competitive biddings was also performed. Results: Basal median antimicrobial consumption decreased from 221.3 to 170 daily defined doses/100 beds after the start of the ASP. At the last year, global antimicrobial consumption declined by 28%.
