As a developing country, Bangladesh cannot claim that its performances are satisfactory. The objective of this analysis is to develop some ideas about the balance of payments of Bangladesh. It is expected that trade liberalization would promote economic growth from the supply side by leading to a more efficient use of resources. Trade liberalization could lead to faster import growth than export growth and hence the supply side benefits may be offset by the unsustainable balance of payment position. This study uses 36 year observation of GDP, import, export and exchange rate of Bangladesh to estimate their effect on trade balance. Our conclusion is that Bangladesh should relax restrictions on imports more slowly than barriers to exports.

The two factorial experiments were laid out in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three replications. Here, three levels of nitrogen dose N0: 0 kg N ha-1 , N1: 100 kg N ha-1 , N2: 130 kg N ha-1 and three levels of phosphorous dose P0: 0 kg P2O5 ha-1 , P1: 50 kg P2O5 ha-1 , P2: 80 kg P2O5 ha-1 were used in this experiment. Growth and yield contributing parameters significantly influenced by different doses of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers. The dose of N2 treatment gave the highest plant height (87.45 cm) and most of the growth parameters increased with increasing nitrogen levels up to N2 treatment. The dose of P2 treatment gave the highest plant height (79.45 cm) and most of the growth parameters increased with increasing phosphorus levels up to P2 treatment. The treatment combination N2P2 gave the highest fruit diameter (4.26 cm), fruit length (11.91 cm), yield of fruits plant-1 (200 g), average fruit yield plot-1 (0.81 kg), individual fruit weight (0.84 g) and average fruit yield (6.79 ton/ha). Based on the findings, it can be suggested that the combined use of 130 kg N ha-1 with 80 kg P2O5 ha-1 increased plant growth and fruit yield of chili in rooftop garden. It is apparent that growth and yield of Capsicum annuum may be increased by using nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer except loses through leaching or other factors.

Highlights This is the first study reporting on the impacts of socio-cultural environment and lifestyle factors on the psychological health of university students in Bangladesh. The prevalence of provisional depression (74.1%) and anxiety (61.9%) among the university students in Bangladesh is significantly high. Female university students are more vulnerable to depression and anxiety disorders in Bangladesh. Students' depression and anxiety were inextricably linked with stress as well as university socio-cultural environment and students' lifestyle factors such as physical inactivity, high and excessive recreational screen activity, low and high daily meal intake frequency, alcohol consumption, and derailed sleeping.

Study design Cross-sectional survey. Methods Using the WHO STEPwise approach for NCDs, a cross-sectional study was conducted among 1,140 students. The collected data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software, version 22. Results In all, 29.2% of the respondents (BMI ≥ 23.00 kg/m 2) were overweight and/or obese, and almost two-thirds (65%) of them did not take part in any physical activity (PA). A third (33.3%, p = 0.002) of male smokers reported health problems and it was found that environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) was significantly responsible for developing asthma (OR = 0.55; CI = 0.33-0.93). Individual and family history of NCDs was statistically significant for obesity and asthma and considerably increased the odds ratio for heart disease. Conclusion This study shows that the number of students suffering from different types of NCDs is not negligible. Their lifestyle and family history of NCDs are responsible for this to a significant extent. Urgent initiatives should be taken to rein in the spread of NCDs among the youth of Bangladesh.

Newly synthesized binder was applied on fabric by pigment printing techniques. It was carried out on lab scale by simple screen printing techniques. We have synthesized this binder by using organic silicone, initiator, emulsifier, P H adjustor, deionized water and ammonia water as required. Binder should be soft, good film, high strength, good elasticity, excellent wash ability, strong adhesion, light color, excellent transparency and excellent light fastness, low cost and easy to implement production. Also get positive test results such as rubbing (wet & dry) fastness, water resistance of the film, softness, significant flexibility and staining resistance.

After drinking this drink people feels fresh, relaxed and can enjoy sound sleep. Present study was aimed to assess the sedative properties of a plant Sterculia villosa leaves. Therefore, we tried to find out the methanolic extract from the leaves of Sterculia villosa leaves having any sedative activity or not. Methods: The extract were subjected to various in vivo methods like hole cross test, open field test, elevated plusmaze (EPM) test, thiopental sodium induced sleeping time test. Diazepam was used as the standard drug. Results: From the study, it is clear that the extract has excellent CNS depressant activity by reducing locomotors activity of mice in every cases of hole cross test, open field test, elevated plus-maze (EPM) test compared to the standard diazepam. In addition, the extract prolong the sleeping time (230 min) with quick onset of action (9 min) in contrast to the standard and control group. Conclusions: From the present study it can be conclude that the extract posses significant a sedative property that may lead to new drug development and further investigation is necessary to understand the underlying mechanisms and to isolate the active principles.

The process of assigning importance or priorities against the alternatives has inherent limitations, which lead to higher possibility of inconsistency. This paper focuses on two basic limitations of the AHP, first one is its inconsistency generated from huge comparisons in judgment matrix and the second one is the use of 'ranking weightages' given by AHP. To eliminate these limitations, this research paper recommends to calculate relative importance among alternatives from the ratings assigned from "Likert scale" to form a "suggestion matrix" with zero percent CR before judgment matrix which gives privilege to decision makers to change relative importance within the range of CR. This process intensifies the effectiveness of AHP by reducing time consumption through optimizing inconsistency.

We obtain the distribution of the product of the components, distribution of the ratio of the components and the reliability of the model. We also obtain different types of moments.

Mathematical form of the estimator for the parameters has been presented. A logical argument behind the relationship between the slopes of the lines and i 0 1î i Y X

We have designed the transmitter using a VCO-based high speed clock generator and a positive and a negative monocycle Gaussian pulse generator. RF compatible Carbon Nano-Tube Field Effect Transistors (CNTFETs) have been used as the building blocks of the oscillator and the logic gates. The final design has resulted to a 7-channel-SWNT CNTFET-based transmitter for optimum 10GHz data rate with a promising 650mV pulse amplitude and only 1.069mW power consumption with a -32.27dB output. This transmitter can also operate satisfactorily upto 15GHz. The results show promising superiority over existing transmitters regarding high data rate, low power loss and high pulse amplitude.
