HASEN’s mission is to produce genuine research and data on the Broader Caspian region to contribute to policy and business environment with strategic recommendations on energy, international affairs, logistics, transportation, security, economy, education, culture and environment issues. In this regard, HASEN assumes international meetings, publications and education endeavor, stimulating scientific debate and research.

When the Caspian and Eurasia are concerned, energy may be the first item on policy makers’ agenda but the complex structure of relationships necessitates a comprehensive approach in studying Caspian and Eurasia. Within this framework, areas of concern for Caspian Strategy Institute consist of energy, transportation, international relations, development, security, education, and environment.

Caspian Strategy Institute’s research centers are as follows:

1. Center for Energy  and Economy Studies
2. Center for Politics and Social Research
3. Center for Foreign Policy and Security

There are 5 research programs under 3 centers:
-Southern Gas Corridor
-Istanbul Energy Program
-Caspian Transit Corridor
-Critical Infrastructure Protection
-South Caucasus Conflict Resolution and Prevention

Institute’s research centers focus on analyzing the interaction environment of the Caspian Region within the framework of the study areas. The regions of concern are Caucasus, Black Sea, Central Asia, Turkiye, Russia, the USA, Europe and Middle East.
