The cluster I was the largest containing 23 genotypes followed by cluster II and cluster IV consisted 11 and 9genotypes respectively. The cluster V, VI and VII were solitary in nature. Among the 27 groundnut specific SSR markers, only seven primer pairs showed polymorphic among test genotypes. The polymorphic markers amplified a total of 20 alleles with an average of 2.86 alleles per loci and polymorphism information content ranged from 0.47 to 0.66. The dendrogram was obtained from the binary data deduced from the DNA profiles of thesamples analyzed, and at 82 per cent similarity coefficient six major clusters were formed. The 144 groundnut genotypes were grouped under 16 clusters. Among 16 clusters, cluster IV was the largest which comprising of 24 genotypes fallowed by clusters I and II with 22 genotypes in each, cluster III and VII comprising 15 genotypes, cluster IV (14), VI (12), VII (7) and X (6) genotypes. The rest of clusters had shown solitary in nature. The average D values of inter cluster distances, showed maximum distance between Cluster-XI and XVI (241.24) followed by inter cluster distance (223.43) between IV and XVI. It indicates that crossing between these clusters helps in production of transgressive segregates or better recombinants. The clusters were ranked based on the overall score across 13 traits. Accordingly, cluster-V was superior which indicates the presence of most promising genotypes in them. Each character had their own contribution to total divergence where,...

In the present study two segregating populations viz., C-152 x V16 and C-152 x HC-03-02 were taken to assess the PCV, GCV and GAM, etc. The segregating populations of C-152 x V-16 cross showed high PCV estimates for plant height, number of branches per plant, number of seeds per pod, seed yield per plant and number of pods per plant. But GCV estimate was high for the traits like number of pods per plant and seed yield per plant. Heritability in broad sense was high for test weight, number of branches per plant and seed yield. The GAM estimates were high for all the traits studied except number of branches per plant. Similarly, in another cross C-152 x HC-03-02, high PCV values were estimated for plant height, number of branches per plant, seeds per pod, seed yield and number of pods per plant. Exploiting this property, a hard limiter is used to enhance power amplifier (PA) efficiency at the relay. Here we are using the higher order modulation for improving relay communication, and also employ the accurate relay technique. Moreover, we show that the proposed approach retains differential detectability, which results in a significant reduction of receiver complexity with robustness against phase ambiguity, by analyzing our proposed method in terms of asymptotic pairwise error probability (PEP), Furthermore, the effectiveness of the proposed scheme in terms of PA efficiency is confirmed by comparing the statistical distributions of the corresponding instantaneous signal power. The researchers are taking keen interest to invent novel material as photocatalyst for non-degradable organic pollutants. Herein, we have fabricated Sm and Co substituted M-type hexaferrite with composition Ca 0.5 Pb 0.5-x Sm x Co y Fe 12-y O 19 , (x = 0.00-0.1; y = 0.00-1.00) by sol-gel auto-combustion approach. The effect of Sm 2+ and Co 3+ substitution in calcium-lead hexaferrite has been investigated for structural, morphological, dielectric and photocatalytic applications for organic pollutants. X-ray diffraction study exhibited the presence of the single-phase M-type hexaferrite with size ranged between 19-23 nm. The particle size, shape and elemental composition were determined by scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy analysis. It was investigated that the electrical resistivity was decreased, and drifts mobility increased with increasing Sm 2+ and Co 3+ contents in the doped materials. An inverse relation has been established between the dielectric constant and the dielectric loss up to a frequency of 9.0 GHz and remains constant above this frequency range. The synthesized materials may prove a suitable contender in the domain of high-frequency devices like circulators, filters, transformers and antennas and environmental remediation. The energy bandgap (E g) was calculated from UV-visible absorbance spectra by Tauc plot. It showed decreasing trend from 2.2 to 1.95 eV for precursor and doped material (Ca 0.5 Pb 0.5-x Sm x Co y Fe 12-y O 19 , x = 0.1; y = 1.00) respectively. Narrowing of bandgap is considered an important factor for the degradation of industrial effluents. The doped materials have also been explored to study the photocatalytic efficiency using a batch reactor to remove methylene blue dye from the textile synthetic wastewater in the presence of visible light radiations at 668 nm, recording 87.50% of degradation efficiency.

The effects of various additives on the degradation efficiency of ACT were also studied. The results showed that ACT degradation was increased with the increase of an absorbed dose. Based on spectrophotometric analysis, 82.5% degradation of the initial ACT concentration (9.98×10−5 M) was easily achieved at an absorbed dose of 1000 Gy. The decay of ACT followed pseudo-first order reaction kinetics at different initial concentrations. The radiation chemical yield (G-value) decreased with the increase of an absorbed dose, however at a specific absorbed dose G-values increased with the increase of ACT initial concentration. The addition of H2O2 in the range of 0.1–0.7% was effective for degradation of ACT. The degradation of ACT was inhibited in both acidic and basic solutions while maximium degradation effiency was acheived at nearly neautral solut...

The graded seeds were packed in six containers viz., polythene cover, mud container, cloth bag, gunny bag, glass container and steel container and seeds were treated with two percent of sweet flag rhizome powder before storage. The different observations viz., number of live adults, seed damage (%) by Sitophilus oryzae and germination (%) of seeds were recorded. The results revealed that the sweet flag rhizome treated seeds packed in steel container, recorded lowest seed damage percentage (32.00%), number of live adults (5.11) and highest seed germination (76.00%) after nine months of treatment. Hence seeds treated with sweet flag rhizome stored in steel containers reduces the insect infestation and steel containers can be effectively used for maintaining seed quality of sorghum during storage.

The characteristics such as crystal size, porosity, bulk density, aspect ratio and X-ray density were also calculated by XRD patterns. The crystal size has a range from 59.6 to 25.5 nm. The lattice constant 'a' varies from 5.89 Å to 5.96 Å and lattice constant c varies from 43.35 Å to 43.44 Å. The surface morphology was performed by SEM analysis of investigated sample. The DC resistivity was calculated and found in the range of 2.86 × 10 7 (Ω cm) to 7.47 × 10 7 (Ω cm). Both dielectric constant, dielectric loss decreased with applied frequency. The variation of values of dielectric constant and dielectric loss was explained with the help of Maxwell Wagner and Koops phenomenological theory. The magnetic properties such as saturation magnetization, retentivity, coercivity of investigated samples was performed through VSM.
