Aim: The study aimed to evaluate the association between quality of life and wound severity in pa... more Aim: The study aimed to evaluate the association between quality of life and wound severity in patients with recurrent diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs). Design: A cross-sectional study. Methods: The total sample comprised 86 DFU patients. The Diabetic Foot Ulcer Scale-Short Form scale was used to collect quality of life data, and Wagner grading was used to assess wound severity. Statistical analyses were conducted using the Mann-Whitney U-test and Kruskal-Wallis test. Results: The results showed that quality of life (QOL) in all domains was low. There were no significant differences between demographic and wound characteristics and QOL of patients. Significant differences were found between diabetes mellitus (DM) duration and Leisure / enjoying life (p = 0.020); Trigger and Worried about ulcers (p = 0.002); Trigger and Dependence / daily life (p = 0.006); Trigger and Negative emotions (p = 0.006); and Trigger and Bothered by ulcer care (p = 0.000). However, there were no significant differences between demographic and wound characteristics and physical health. Conclusion: The study showed that QOL of patients with recurrent diabetic ulcers was low. There was no correlation between quality of life or wound severity and recurrent DFUs. However, there was a correlation between DM duration and Leisure / enjoying life; Trigger and Worried about the ulcer; Trigger and Dependency / daily life; Trigger and Negative emotions; and Trigger and Bothered by ulcer care.

This research aims to describe the learning achievements of the English Language through Problem ... more This research aims to describe the learning achievements of the English Language through Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model. This study used a two cycle-classroom action research as the design and assigned 30 graders of X Science Class of SMAN 1 Mlonggo Jepara Regency in the year 2018/2019. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Indicators of success are determined for which the students achieved a minimum 75% of mastery learning after they are exposed to the PBL Model. The research results show (1) the average learning achievement in the first cycle was 6.92 and in the second cycle the cycle was 8.67; (2) minimum mastery learning in the first cycle was 13 (36.11%) and 23 (63.89%) in the second cycle; and (3) completeness in the classical learning in cycle I was 36.11% and 100.00% in cycle. The participants were divided into two classes; experimental class A and experimental class B. Each class consisted of 20 students. Independent learning is influenced by several factors, one of them is achievement motivation. The aim of the study was to determine the correlation between student achievement motivation and independent learning during online learning. The research sample was 165 students of Primary School Teacher Education of PGRI University of Yogyakarta. The data were collected by using survey technique, while the data analysis technique used was correlation technique with Product Moment. The result of the study shows that there was a positive and significant relationship between achievement motivation and independent learning with 0.702 as amount of correlation coefficient. Meanwhile, the test result of determination coefficient shows that achievement motivation became 0.490 or 49% as predictor of independent learning. Abstrak: Keberhasilan pembelajaran daring sangat ditentukan oleh kemandirian belajar. Kemandirian belajar dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya motivasi berprestasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besarnya hubungan motivasi berprestasi dengan kemandirian belajar mahasiswa saat pembelajaran daring. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa PGSD Universitas PGRI Yogyakarta sebanyak 165 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan survei, sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik korelasi dengan Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara motivasi berprestasi dengan kemandirian belajar dengan besar koefisien korelasi 0.702. Sementara itu, hasil uji koefisien determinasi menunjukkan motivasi berprestasi menjadi prediktor kemandirian belajar sebesar 0.490 atau 49%.

This study investigated the EFL teachers’ perception and practices of reflection in teaching. T... more This study investigated the EFL teachers’ perception and practices of reflection in teaching. The study was conducted through qualitative method by purposive sampling technique. The data were collected through semi-structured interview, and documentation from seven EFL Junior High School teachers in Makassar. The results of the study showed that the EFL teachers perceived reflective practice mainly as an evaluative process to their teaching experience. They all believed that reflective practice was one of the effective teacher characteristics and useful for increasing the quality of teaching and learning. Their reflections were mostly at descriptive and dialogic level. Inadequate knowledge and workload were identified by the EFL teachers as the challenges to reflection.
