Banyaknya aktivitas antropogenik dapat menyebabkan penurunan kualitas air. Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan hubungan kualitas air dengan parameter hidrologi sungai Batang Arau (2013-2020). Data yang diolah berupa data sekunder dari beberapa instansi di Kota Padang. Regresi Linear Sederhana antara parameter kualitas air terhadap kecepatan aliran dan debit sungai diaplikasikan. Debit berkorelasi cukup erat dengan DO (r = 0,68), dan kecepatan aliran berkorelasi sangat erat dengan TDS (r = 0,82) di musim penghujan. Sementara itu, korelasi sangat erat terjadi antara debit dengan TDS (r = 0,98), dan kecepatan aliran dengan DO (r = 0,95) pada musim kemarau.

Dendam Tak Sudah Lake (DDTS), located in Bengkulu City, is the largest lake that has a vital role... more Dendam Tak Sudah Lake (DDTS), located in Bengkulu City, is the largest lake that has a vital role in the hydrological system of the area. Along with economic and regional development, this lake faces threats, especially the decline in water quality. This study aimed to determine lake water parameter characteristics and its quality status. The study used the lake water dataset monitoring obtained from the Environmental Service of Bengkulu City, which measured four observation points from May 2017 to March 2019. There were 17 parameters observed in this study and compared with Class I of lake water quality standards based on Government of Indonesia Regulation Number 22 Year 2021. The lake water quality status was analyzed using the water quality index of CCME. The analysis results show that the lake water quality index ranges between 44.64-56.72, so the status of lake water is included in the poor and marginal categories. Furthermore, the parameters that still meet the lake water quality standards are: temperature, TDS, TSS, pH, Fe, Sulfate, Mn, Cu, DO, Oil and greases, and detergent. In contrast, the remaining 6 parameters were detected to exceed the lake water quality standard: Zn, BOD, COD, Phosphate, total coliform, and fecal coliform.

This study aims to provide an overview of water quality characteristics and water quality status of Bengkulu River and Nelas River in Bengkulu Province. The data used is river quality monitoring conducted by the Environment and Forestry Service of Bengkulu Province from 2014 to 2019. Measurements are carried out twice a year representing, the dry season (March to June) and the rainy season (September to December). The observation stations representing upstream, middle and downstream of rivers conditions. The parameters observed were physical, chemical, and biological parameters. The water quality status is determined using the Storet Index. The results show that both rivers have Storet Index >-31. It means that these river water are heavily polluted. Parameters that have exceeded the water quality standard are TSS, DO, BOD, COD, Fe, Mn, Cu, and total coliform. The river water quality parameters, especially heavy metals, may be caused by open land being washed and carried into the river body. The existence of population and animal activities as well as industrial waste outlets at upstream also affect the decline of river water quality.
Lake Lido is used for many purposes, especially floating cage fish farming that could increase in... more Lake Lido is used for many purposes, especially floating cage fish farming that could increase inorganic and organic matter to the aquatic ecosystem. The inputs will raise nutrients that will change the trophic states of waters. The research aimed to study the composition of phytoplankton and to assess the trophic states of Lake Lido with several methods, Nygaards Index with biological approach, TRIX with chemistry and biological approach, and TSI with combination of physical, cemistry, and biological approach. The result shows that composition of phytoplankton was relatively similar in area with floating cage activity and without floating cage activity. The highest densities and number of species was reached by Bacillariophyceae, especially Melosira sp. Trophic states based on the three methods shows similar criteria that Lake Lido was grouped as eutrophic lake. It also means that Nygaard Index is still relevant to apply in determining trophic states of an aquatic.

Riparian vegetation in the Mountain Halimun-Salak National Park could be expected to affect the community structure of periphyton. The purpose of this study was to identify the community structure of periphyton on different vegetation canopy coverage, to analyze relationship between the communities structure of periphyton and upstream Cisadane water quality conditions, and to determine water quality based on perifiton community. There were three sets three stations based on canopy coverage (80%, 60%, dan 40%). The results showed two groups of stations, the high canopy coverage (80%) and the low canopy coverage. The highest perifiton abundance was found at stations low canopy coverage, that dominated by Bacillarophycae, Pennales order, especially Navicula with higher rate of succesion than the higher canopy caverage. Abundance of periphyton of low canopy coverage was affected by ammonium, turbidity, and water current. Furthermore, in stations high canopy coverage it was influenced by orthophosphate and currents. As a whole, the periphyton community at upstream of Cisadane indicated a good condition of water quality. Keywords: canopy, periphyton, succession rate

This study aimed to examine sandfish's length-weight relationship and condition factors on the North Coast of Sumbawa Island, with sampling locations at two stations, Ai Limung (Pungkit Village), and Labu Prajak (Batu Bangka Village). The study was conducted in September-October 2022. A total of 142 specimens were obtained from both stations, 122 samples at Ai Limung station (mean length 9.22±2.12 cm; weight 43.34±25.07 grams). Then 20 samples at the Labu Prajak station (mean length 13.69±3.74 cm; weight 88.70±60.06 grams). Growth patterns of each research station are negative allometric, indicating the body length of the sandfish grows faster than its weight. The waste present in the pond comes from inside (can be NH4, NO3, and PO4) and outside the pond (... more The waste present in the pond comes from inside (can be NH4, NO3, and PO4) and outside the pond (Pb). One of the ponds that experience this is a pond in the Muara Gembong coastal waters. To remediate these wastes can use algae Gracilaria verrucosa in one cultivation cycle. The result obtained is a NH4 of 0.89-22.5 ppm, NO3 of 3.05-93 ppm, and PO4 of 0.01-0.52 ppm. The t-test result, in general, is x > 0.05, which means the water quality of the control pond and the treatment pond are no different. Algae Gracilaria verrucosa in pond treatment absorbs lead heavy metals (Pb). The test result of the ratio is the ratio of Pb A > the ratio of Pb B, which means the Pb in Algae comes from pond water. The presence of Gracilaria verrucosa algae in ponds does not contribute to improving the quality of pond water.

This study aims to analyze diversity, density, and the importance value index of the mangrove in the area. The method used was a plot and path (combination method). To conduct this study, the nine purposely sampled stations ranged from the western Segara Anakan Lagoon to the eastern mangrove area adjacent to the Donan River. The nine station was grouped into 3 (three areas) namely; Mangrove Eastern Area (river influence), Mangrove Middle Area, Mangrove Western Area (seawater influence. Kompleksitas pembangunan di wilayah pesisir Kota Baubau perlu diantisipasi agar tidak mengganggu ... more Kompleksitas pembangunan di wilayah pesisir Kota Baubau perlu diantisipasi agar tidak mengganggu dan mengancam keberlanjutan ekosistem pesisir. Degradasi lingkungan akibat pembangunan dapat membawa bencana yang merugikan tidak hanya pada aspek ekonomi dan infrastruktur, tetapi juga jiwa manusia. Oleh karena itu, pembangunan yang dilakukan harus senantiasa mengacu pada prinsip-prinsip pembangunan berkelanjutan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka perlu dilakukan analisis keberlanjutan guna mengetahui status keberlanjutan pembangunan Kota Baubau. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis keberlanjutan pembangunan Kota Baubau berdasarkan dimensi ekologi, ekonomi, sosial, infrastruktur dan teknologi, serta hukum dan kelembagaan. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi data primer dan data sekunder yang diperoleh melalui studi literatur, diskusi pakar/pemangku kepentingan, wawancara, kuesioner, dan survei lapangan. Analisis keberlanjutan menggunakan beberapa teknik analisis yaitu multidimensional scaling, leverage, Pareto, dan Monte Carlo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Kota Baubau cukup berkelanjutan pada dimensi infrastruktur teknologi (74,77) dan dimensi hukum kelembagaan (65,87), namun kurang berkelanjutan pada dimensi ekologi (32,90) dan dimensi ekonomi (41,87), serta tidak berkelanjutan pada dimensi sosial (20,61). Selain itu diketahui bahwa ada 35 atribut yang sensitif berpengaruh terhadap keberlanjutan pembangunan Kota Baubau.
