This paper investigates the adolescents’ importance of parental relationships in preventing them ... more This paper investigates the adolescents’ importance of parental relationships in preventing them from cybercrime victimization. In addition, the role of locality in the level of internet addiction is studied. A sample comprised of 360 students of age group 15-17 years, pursuing their studies in 13 CBSE schools of New Delhi was selected randomly. These selected students were in classes XI and XII. The internet addiction and the satisfaction level of parental relationships were analyzed to understand the adolescents’ online behaviors. The mean, SD, and standard error measures of several factors were analyzed. Findings reveal that there exists a significant difference in internet addiction between urban and rural adolescents. The findings also confirmed that 84.75 % of cyber-victimized adolescents have a dissatisfied parental relationship.

Aim: This paper aims to study the impact of happiness classes on the students studying in the Mun... more Aim: This paper aims to study the impact of happiness classes on the students studying in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) schools of Delhi. The paper mainly studies the opinion of teachers, as well as, students towards happiness classes and its relation to the academic achievement of the students. Methodology: 25 teachers and 25 students of MCD were selected randomly for the data collection. Inventory on measuring the opinion of teachers about happiness classes and inventory on measuring the opinion of students about happiness classes were prepared by the researcher and were administered on the selected sample. ConclusionFindings: This study reveals that the opinion of male and female teachers, as well as, students do not differ significantly with respect to the happiness classes and happiness of students is related to some extent to the academic accomplishments of students.

A qualitative method was used in the present study. Sample comprised of young-aged pre-service teachers (18–22 years) and middle-aged adult (25–29 years) of Delhi-NCR region pursuing only B.Ed. or B.El.Ed., from a public university and private university, respectively. The random sampling process was carried out, wherein 40 students, including 20 boys and 20 girls of both age groups, were selected randomly from universities situated in NCR-Delhi. In the study 80 students were selected from four centers. The entire study was conducted in 2 phases. Objectives: The spread of Covid 19 brought a sudden closure of schools in India, forcing them to ... more Objectives: The spread of Covid 19 brought a sudden closure of schools in India, forcing them to take teaching completely online. This was an unprecedented situation in Indian schools where virtual teaching was never the norm. The pace of this technical intervention was so fast that it practically brought an educational revolution in the country. This led the researcher to conduct a survey for the teachers as well as students with the objectives to understand : 1. The major challenges faced by both the teachers and students, 2. The opportunities offered by the online teaching platform, 3.The attributes of online classes that can enhance the learning process, and 4. The lessons to be learnt about the efficacy of virtual classes. Methods: A survey was conducted for more than 500 teachers and approximately 1700 students of ten schools in Delhi National Capital Region in India. A questionnaire was administered to them through google forms. These schools were geographically scattered in the national capital region of Delhi and cater to different socioeconomic backgrounds. Findings: Online teaching in Indian schools is still in its infancy and is gradually getting more popular since it is now the need of the hour. Technical issues are the biggest challenge for teachers and students and connectivity causes major problems. The pedagogy required for online teaching needs refinement. Both teachers and students have expressed that they have faced health issues with greater exposure to screen time. Absence of face-to-face interaction of teachers and students affects the teaching learning experience. Novelty: This study provided valuable insight into refining the practices of online teaching and learning, a hitherto less explored field, in Indian scenario. It gives the perception of both teachers and students regarding the procedure of online teaching.

Teachers are considered as pillars of Education system and ultimate agents in implementing the CCE system as they help in shaping pupils' personality and nurture good habits among them. The present study attempts to find out perception of teachers towards continuous and comprehensive evaluation. Samples of 100 school teachers were randomly selected from Delhi and Faridabad. Self-made Questionnaire consists of 10 items for teachers was prepared and distributed among them. The findings revealed that the perception of upper primary school teachers of Delhi is better than that of NCR towards CCE.

Purpose: The present investigation was planned to determine the influence of type of personality,... more Purpose: The present investigation was planned to determine the influence of type of personality, gender, age, qualification and experience causing stress among teacher educators at work.Method: A sample of 100 subjects from male and female teachers teaching in teacher training colleges, Delhi, India was drawn randomly. The data was collected by applying the following tools: (i) Organizational Role Stress Scale (ORS) by Udai Pareek (1993). This tool measures role space and role set conflict. Test carries 50 items which are rated at five point scale. (ii) R-R introversion-Extroversion Scale by Dr. R.N.Singh and Dr. R.B.Tripathi (2010). This tool measures the personality in terms of Highly Extrovert, Predominantly Extrovert, Balanced Ambivert, Predominantly Introvert and Highly Introvert. This tool consists of 50 items with 'yes' and 'no' alternative responsesResults: The results revealed that (i) Female teacher educators are more likely to experience stress as compared to male teacher educators. (ii) Younger teacher educators are more likely to experience stress as compared to older teacher educators. (iii) Less qualified teacher educators are more likely to experience stress as compared to highly qualified teacher educators.(iv) Less experienced teacher educators are more likely to experience stress as compared to highly experienced teacher educators. (v) Introvert type of teacher educators are more likely to experience stress as compared to Extrovert teacher educators.

The present study assesses the effectiveness of English literature in inculcation of values among... more The present study assesses the effectiveness of English literature in inculcation of values among children, to identify the various values reflected through prose and poetry of Standard 5 of NCERT. The study revealed the proposed applicability of weaning away a separate value education curriculum in order to integrate values in all subjects and strive for holistic education among children. Qualitative method has been used and the Standard 5 of NCERT literature text books have been extensively read, reviewed and analysed in order to list out the values that were present in the content. Besides this, five English language teachers of government as well as of private schools of New Delhi were interviewed and two classes of each teacher were observed. The responses of the teachers’ questionnaires revealed that teachers’ contribution in terms of efforts put in towards awareness of values were minimal. During the textbook analysis and lesson observation, it was realised that a break from routine was very beneficial because it offer teachers, the chance to do something different that was enjoyed by all and all the four skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking could be integrated if teachers know the right methods to transact the content.

The sample consisted of 100 Principals/Directors working in schools of Asmara, Eritrea, Africa. Organizational Role Stress scale developed by Pareek (1993) was administered on randomly selected sample. The data were analyzed using means, standard deviations and students-‘t’ test. Their views and opinions on the efficacy of the online learning program and the attributes of virtual classes are sought in the study. Methods: A survey study was conducted with an online questionnaire administered to more than 2000 parents of pre primary and primary classes from ten public schools of Delhi National Capital Region. Findings: More than 75% of the parents surveyed are satisfied with the online classes taking place and believed that it is working for them. 41% of the parents are of the opinion that teaching methodology is the most important factor enhancing the teaching-learning process in virtual mode for the parents. 29% of the parents believe that personalised attention given to the children can improve the system.
