A coaxial electrospinning process was exploited to prepare core-shell nanofibers and to control the spatial depositions of different functional components. A series of tests was undertaken to characterize the resultant nanofi- bers. Following optimization of the electrospinning pa- rameters, two types of core-shell nanofibers with average diameters of 730 ± 140 and 770 ± 160 nm were suc- cessfully prepared. These had uniform linear morphologies and clear core-shell structures, as verified by scanning and transmission electron microscopy images. The fibers con- tained sucralose in the shell and helicid in the core; X-ray diffraction demonstrated that both functional components were present in the amorphous physical form. There is significant hydrogen bonding between the functional components and the poly(vinylpyrrolid...

First phase of the research involves statistically analyzing relationships and validating the semantic meaning between Sinhala and English sentences. Next phase is to develop Singlish transliteration approach to render Sinhala words typed using English. Final phase of the study involves recognizing handwritten Sinhala characters used in modern literature within an acceptable accuracy. The anticipated outcome is to improve communication effectiveness when doing business and to minimize time, cost, and human errors caused by a human translator.

Predominantly microfinance was identified as an effective concept to reduce poverty and improve social well-being. The women empowerment is also play a vital part in the process. Microfinance industry has adapted various business strategies and innovative ideas to address and influence poverty reduction. It is acceptable fact that women play a pivotal part in economic development in Sri Lanka. As per the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) stipulated in 2000, women empowerment and gender equality have been identified as one of the main objectives of MDGs to achieve in every country. It is fast becoming a household name globally and one of the key contributors to social-economic development. The Sustainability of the microfinance industry depends on several factors and encounters numerous challenges. The purpose of the study is to examine whether there is a relationship between risk management and the sustainability of the microfinance industry in Sri Lanka. Methodology: A simple regression analysis is used to demonstrate a connection in which one independent variable is predicted to influence one dependent variable. The study included 376 microfinance women borrowers from three districts in Sri Lanka, and the cluster sampling approach was used. Primary data was gathered using surveys, while secondary data was collected from CBSL, MFI annual reports, and the Microfinance Information Exchanger (MIX). Main Findings: The study findings reveal that effective risk Manag...
