The investigation shows that fine-finish micro-EDM requires minimisation of the pulse energy supplied into the gap which was found difficult to apply in die-sinking due to frequent arcing, short circuiting and unstable machining conditions. Consequently, the machined surface becomes defective due to the presence of microcracks, voids and deposition of debrises in die-sinking micro-EDM. However, the surface generated in scanning micro-EDM is less susceptible to surface defects along with lower R a and R max . Investigation has also been carried out on the effect of different electrode materials on surface characteristics of WC. It was found that silver tungsten electrode provides better surface characteristics compared to tungsten and copper tungsten for the fine-finish micro-EDM of WC.

Lack of proper treatment of this waste results in adverse environmental impacts in the form of air pollution, water pollution, the lack of availability of aggregates, shortage of landfill sites etc. Therefore, there is need for effectively managing C&D waste. Rules exist for sustainably managing solid waste however, major challenge is posed by the inability to effectively plan and properly manage this system while ensuring implementation of the existing rules. This research paper presents options for managing the growing C&D wastes and also recommends mechanisms to ensure that the system is financially sustainable as well. Application of approaches such as WGR (waste generation rate), LCA (lifecycle assessment) and EPR (extended producer responsibility) is suggested.

B y using solar distillation with advanced mechanism. Considering this things into brain, we have designed distillatory to convert more dirty/ unclean water into cleaned/ dri nkable water using sun's energy (e.g. sun radiation) by feedi ng externally pre-heated water to the basin of solar still. This modi fied design produces maximum clean water as output and enhances efficiency of the distillati on.
