Various segments of society have turned to the concepts of sustainability, seeking alternatives to reduce the impacts caused by the use, in most cases, indefinite of raw material and by the large volume of waste generated, include the waste tire rubber. The use of waste as raw materials in construction, as well as minimize the extraction of natural resources, such as sand and gravel, can also reduce the accumulation of these tailings in urban areas, making it also a technical solution bringing benefits the buildings as: reduced density, better drainage and property improvement in thermal and acoustic insulation. No processo de soldagem por fusao, a junta a ser soldada sofre um brusco aumento de temperatura p... more No processo de soldagem por fusao, a junta a ser soldada sofre um brusco aumento de temperatura pela formacao de um arco eletrico entre a peca e o eletrodo, devido a alimentacao por energia eletrica do equipamento de soldagem. Esse aumento de temperatura e dissipado pela peca e provoca alteracoes na estrutura interna e externa da mesma, inclusive de forma prejudicial. Dentre estas alteracoes, podem-se citar as tensoes internas, distorcoes, alteracao da microestrutura e outros. A distorcao e um problema frequente em soldagem devido ao aporte termico introduzido pelo processo, ou seja, as tensoes residuais geradas durante a solda. Para se ter uma avaliacao mais concreta este projeto de pesquisa investigou os processos GMAW verificando as distorcoes geradas, a sua soldabilidade, as suas propriedades metalurgicas e geometricas, bem como as exigencias de seguranca necessaria dos procedimentos envolvidos, seja em solda sobre a chapa ou chapa perpendicular. The construction industry in recent decades has been facing internal and external pressures, such... more The construction industry in recent decades has been facing internal and external pressures, such as financial crisis, industry competitiveness and increased importance of quality required by the client. Because it is a sector, which has a low level of productivity, and high levels of waste, both with materials such as with labor, it is necessary to search for new management practices and production control. The development of a productive environment which aims to reduce waste, costs and deadlines, meeting customer needs and increasing efficiency and productivity in construction sites, made the application of the concepts of Lean Manufacturing in Civil works broke old paradigms in this area. In this way, this work has as objective the study of the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and its effect on the construction management, through the development of case studies on construction sites, where these concepts were applied and the results obtained are exposed in this work.

Using this method, it is possible to visualize the flow of microorganisms present in the ducts, in which the images are R.W. transmitted in real time to the operator, allowing the cleaning with rotating brushes that adapt themselves according to the pipeline geometry, linked to the rover making the removal of impurities which are found on the walls, as well as the application of fungicides and bactericides, and finally the mechanism structure allows the manipulation of small objects held by a claw, which ensures greater operating flexibility compared to existing systems on the market. The lack of standards for industrial fan sizing forces companies to size its products under stron... more The lack of standards for industrial fan sizing forces companies to size its products under strong influence of precious experience, based, mostly, in empiric data. This can lead to the oversizing of the fans and, thus, increase the costs of the final product unnecessarily. The scope of the work is the computational fluid dynamics analysis of radial fans, using qualitative and quantitative results. The study was conducted in bench scale using a prototype. The characteristic data from the fan was collected and inserted in the ANSYS FLUENT software. The preliminary results, using the original geometry will enable the project optimization, increasing the product's efficiency via the elimination of supersizing and assessing the feasibility of computational simulations in the industry.

Esse aumento de temperatura e dissipado pela peca e provoca alteracoes na estrutura interna e externa da mesma, inclusive de forma prejudicial. Dentre estas alteracoes, estao as tensoes internas, distorcoes, alteracao da microestrutura e outros. A distorcao e um problema frequente em soldagem devido ao aporte termico introduzido pelo processo, ou seja, as tensoes residuais geradas durante a solda. Foi observado nos corpos de prova analisados que durante a soldagem, o aquecimento causou uma maior expansao termica da regiao superior da peca, sua deformacao plastica mais intensa e a distorcao. Ao final da soldagem, com o resfriamento do material na regiao da solda, ocorreu sua contracao. Como a regiao superior da peca foi mais aquecida e sofreu maior deformacao plastica, a pec...
