In this study, we are going to make a list of all the monasteries known in the meridional area thanks to the information given by the literary and epigraphic sources.Desde sus orígenes, el monacato cristiano se expandió de una manera espectacular hasta llegar a Hispania, donde optó por la vía cenobítica, evidenciada, de manera clara, en dos puntos concretos, la zona del Noroeste (Gallaecia) y el Sur (Baetica). Nos proponemos, en este estudio, elaborar una relación de todos los monasterios conocidos en el área meridional gracias a la información que aportan las fuentes literarias y epigráficas
