A mark of national shame, Americans consider it the wrong war at the wrong time; a war in which the political establishment - against the public's wishes - sacrificed the morals and principles the United States claimed to represent. A reflection on this view invites several questions that are worth investigating. In particular, was the Vietnam War legitimate, in the first place? If no so, what principles did it violate? In which way was it a military atrocity, in case it fits the description of wrong war? One can rightly argue that, from the lenses of political correctness, the involvement in the war was not a bad idea in itself because it conformed to Truman Doctrine, only that the undertakers gave it away in three ways — they failed to win, did not effectively frame the war in a manner that satisfied the subject expectations, and could not anticipate the powerful role of the media and the civil activists in swaying the public opinion.

While some discussions have favored the use of interventions such as drugs, many others have lauded exercise therapy, a scenario that leads to a debate of what intervention could be the most effective. The purpose of this paper is to test if exercise therapy will decrease mild depressive symptoms, especially among women diagnosed with the problem.

The issue of gender discrimination lends itself to the diversity inclusion subject as one of the problematic areas that continue to receive substantive attention. The importance of equality stems from the growing concerns that society still excludes many groups of people, especially in light of the rules and laws that clearly state that everyone must be treated equally and with decency, regardless of their cultural background such as gender. Additionally, the fight for diversity and equality is crucial for sustainability since it counters discrimination and exclusion, which are inextricably connected to disenfranchisement. There are concerns that discrimination is still a serious problem.
Addressing the Issue of Low Female Representation in Corporate Boardroom in the United States — Policy Paper, 2020
In conclusion, this paper has aimed to discuss how the issue of female underrepresentation in co... more In conclusion, this paper has aimed to discuss how the issue of female underrepresentation in corporate boardrooms can be achieved. Statistics have shown that this poor representation is felt at two fronts: representation at gender level, and representation at the racial level. Beyond overall poor gender representation, women of color account for a small fraction of women in the boardrooms. A look at the background of the issue reveals that the legal framework has been progressive and even responsive to public demand. However, as evidenced by the unsatisfactory statistics of representation, it can be inferred that these laws have reached a level that the policy framework needs to change.
The primary legal framework for combating discrimination in the workplace is contained in Title VII of the Commerce Clause, created as part of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. The legislation outlaws discrimination based on the people's background disposition such as color, gender, and social status. Other supplementary laws include quotas, disclosure policies, and voluntary approaches. While these laws are objective, they are marred by many weaknesses that impede the realization of desired outcomes. These laws are either so fragmented that they trigger ambiguous interpretation, or are so radical or ambitious that they overstep other inalienable standards. The most outstanding issues that arise are how the issue of poor women representation and minority women presentation can be addressed concurrently, how can gender underrepresentation be addressed without making the process feel as discriminatory against male gender and majority race, and how transference between equal protection and Title VII laws be harnessed to foster the desired level of representation. Other questions that arise revolve around what legal framework should be adopted to address these issues without contravening the equal protection and Title VII laws, and what legal framework would assure women representation without overstepping internal affairs doctrine.
A further assessment of these prevailing laws from the lenses of feminist theory reveals that they are too mechanistic in the sense that they overlook the role of corporate shareholders as agents that shape diversity representation affairs.Consequently, an elaborate legal framework needs to corporate-centered. Consequently, the most appropriate policy that society needs is the kind that mixes disclosure policy and volunteer. This approach is advantageous because it valorizes stakeholder activism, entertains the rule of democracy, and conforms to Title VII and equality protection tenets, yet as a social responsibility contract, it is flexible and more proactive to legal reforms.
